“Rebel Moon – Part One: Son of Fire” has won scientists and comic book fans with an amazing story and unforgettable characters. Among them, Jimmy stands out as a robot voiced by Anthony Hopkins, whose visual change at the end of the film has created curiosity and speculation among the audience.

Jimmy’s transformation: from robot to fearsome hunter

At the beginning of “Moon of Rebellion”, Jimmy is part of a narcissistic military empire known as Motherworld. However, throughout the film, he experiences a change of heart and aligns himself with the rebels. It’s in the final scenes that Jimmy reappears wearing a crown of horns on his mechanical head, a detail that wowed audiences.

The film’s screenwriter, Kurt Johnstad, explained this aesthetic change in an interview with Variety. According to Johnstad, the extended version of “Rebel Moon – Part One: Son of Fire” will include additional scenes with Jimmy that explain the origin of this crown.

“Jimmy has a much bigger story in those extended cuts and certainly in the second movie,” Johnstad said. “Jimmy goes from being a messenger robot to a smaller body and becomes a little more timid. “When you get them all together and the team is formed, it’s like a creature running around the woods, hunting and sitting by the river and fishing and doing jimmy jobs in the woods, so that’s where the crown of horns comes from,” he said.
