One-Punch Man’s new villain could be the webcomic’s most frustrating fight fix

Summary

One-Punch Man teases the introduction of a new villain in chapter #195, which could make up for the disappointment of the villain’s first fight in the webcomic. The leader of the ninja village, a strangely old and mysterious man, has an evil ambition to take over the world, and his minions seek the death of the Flash and the explosion. The manga adaptation gives an opportunity to actually show the fight between Saitama and the ninja village leader, which is off-screen in the webcomic.

Warning: Spoilers for One Punch Man, Chapter #195One-Punch Man teases the introduction of a new villain in Chapter #195, the leader of Ninja Village, but this particular villain had a very disappointing fight in the first webcomic. The manga may be on its way to righting that wrong, however, as it suggests his return is very close.

Chapter #195 in the Japanese release is the same as Chapter #193 in the English language release.

In Chapter #195, Speed-O-Sound Sonic faces off against a group of ninjas, all of whom originally came from Sonic and Flash’s secret ninja village. The team is hoping to kill Flashy Flash, and wants to use Sonic to take him out. They also say that this is all part of a big plan, because of their leader’s vigilance, they have been in a coma for 15 years due to a conflict with the hero explosion.

One-Punch Man: Portrait of a Ninja Leader.

When the leader of the ninja village wakes up, the ninja intends to kill with flashes of lightning and explosions, and then proceed to take over the world.

Saitama vs Ninja Village Leader can get one again in One-Punch Man.

One-Punch Man: Ninjas vs. Sonic.

In the original webcomic on which the manga is based, the leader of the ninja village is supposed to be a powerful figure, but the actual fight between him and Saitama is completely off-panel, meaning readers don’t get to see any of it. No conflict at all. Even though it creates a sense of humor, Saitama quickly beats him to it, not even lasting a single panel, a very unpleasant moment for the narrative. What should have been the epic battle at the conclusion of the Ninja Village arc was left as a gag. But now the manga hints that it will correct this misstep and show the fight between the ninja village leader and Saitama.

The leader of the ninja village is a very mysterious figure; He is said to be incredibly old, suggesting that he may be some kind of monster. It’s clear that his evil ambitions, which brought him into conflict with Blast in the first place, are nothing new. The other ninjas realize that the ninja village itself was destroyed by the Flash and that is why they are hunting him. But this plan seems to be about more than revenge.

Saitama beat the leader of the ninja village into the ground

The manga finally adapting this webcomic arc means there’s finally a chance to actually show the fight between Saitama and the ninja village leader. After all, this one seems to have gone toe-to-toe with a bang. There’s no reason for him to disappear any sooner than Boros or the King of the Deep Sea, monsters that appeared much earlier in the series. This wouldn’t be the first time a manga changed parts of a webcomic story. After all, ONE is writing both, so the changes he makes will only add to this rich and entertaining story. One-Punch Man may still choose to keep the fight between Saitama and the ninja village leader short, but hopefully fans will finally get a chance to see him unfold in the pages of the manga.
