Kaizen’s only way of jujutsu is to shock fans

Summary

Kenjaku would be a fool if he didn’t plan ahead for Sukuna’s eventual betrayal. Kenjaku may have a plan to deal with Tsukune by using his ability to transfer his brain into a dead body, which he can use against the nest while the corpse is still on the battlefield. Kenjaku has taken over the corpse of Gojo’s friend Suguru Geto and can do the same to Gojo’s corpse. This allows Kenjaku to use Gojo’s powerful curse technique and become even stronger.

As Ryomen Sukuna continues to cycle through the jujutsu kaizen wizards gathered against him, his partner – Kenjaku – can’t help but think of the moment when the unexpected King of Curses turns on him. Although Sukunan wants them to succeed in taking out the most magical people left in their path, Kenjaku actually has a plan to deal with him once he arrives, and it may involve a gruesome return to the dead nest.

Seeing how powerful Sukuna is in his true form, it’s not wrong for Kenjaku to fear that Sukuna will eventually turn on him. In fact, the more successful Jujutsu Kaizen is in breaking down the sorcerer community, the less Tsukune needs to maintain Kenjaku. However, Kenjaku is not stupid. In fact, there is one big play that will keep him the first among equals and unchallenged leader in the new age of witchcraft.

Kenjaku revealed himself to Gojo

Kenjaku’s internal technique allows him to transfer his brain into a mortal body and control it with his abilities. Gojo’s old friend, Sguru Geto, who did that, is currently living as his corpse. In theory, there’s nothing stopping you from doing the same thing with nested corpses.

Kenjaku can take Gojo’s body to kill Sukuna.

Naturally, after watching Sukunan take down Satoru Gojo and Hajime Koshimo, any attempt by Kenjaku seems easier said than done by Sukunan directly. But the reality is different. Kenjaku has survived thousands of years by using his cursed technique to retrieve the bodies of dead people. After Gojo kills Geto, Kenjaku implants his brain in Geto’s skull before properly sealing it and burying it. As a result, he mastered Ghetto’s body, and more importantly mastered his naturally cursed technique.

Nest is now dead and his remains have not been properly embalmed and buried. As fans know, he’s still on the battlefield. As the battle between Sukuna and the other witches rages around him, Kenjaku has the perfect opportunity to snatch Nest’s body and later use his natural technique to implant his brain into Nest’s body. Doing so grants Kenjaku the ability to use the nest’s infinite technique, the six eyes, and domain expansion. Of course, while Geto gives Kenjaku enough skill to defeat the combined efforts of Yuki Tsukumo, Master Tengen, and Choso, gaining Gojo’s abilities is a huge power upgrade.

A Kenjaku in Nest’s body might have a higher chance of hitting Tsukune than Nest did.

Unfortunately for Fantastic Beasts fans, this means seeing him return, but as his own disenfranchised corpse. It would certainly be a heartbreaking turn of events, but also a very logical move for Kenjaku. While Gojo is ultimately defeated by Sukuna, Kenjaku with Gojo’s powers is able to do better than the first. After all, he watched as Gojon nearly defeated Sukuna, only to have to use the Mahuraga to defeat him – which Kenjaku commented on in the final chapter, possibly in a foreshadowing. There are still a handful of jujutsu wizards waiting to capture Tsukune, which means that with each fight, Kenjaku learns more about his partner’s tactics and weaknesses.

While it’s possible that Sukuna will remain loyal to his arrangement with Kenjaku, there’s a good chance he won’t. There is nothing about Sukuna’s personality that suggests he would defer to anything other than his own will. Moreover, while Kenjaku is proven reasonable, it seems odd that he didn’t at least consider the possibility of Tsukune turning on him. If this is the case, the death of Kojo will give him a perfect opportunity. Taking over Gojo’s body allows Kenjaku to gain the upper hand over Tsukune, but also marks a terrifying return for Jujutsu Kaisen’s most popular characters.
