
Disney has created some of the most iconic characters of all time, and the same goes for its princesses. In 2012, Merida was the first Pixar character to become a Disney princess with the animated film Braveand, despite its popularity, no sequel ever materialized.
In a new interview with ScreenRant to promote his next film, The RadleysKelly Macdonald, the voice actress of Brave‘s main character, Princess Merida, has discussed the possibility of a live-action sequel or remake. Macdonald has fond memories of the animated film, noting that it was “pretty cool” to voice one of the Disney princesses. Regarding a sequel, she admitted that the idea had not “occurred” to her. The Pixar animated film premiered in 2012 and was very well received. However, despite the story leading Merida to join the rest of the Disney princesses, the studios did not continue the story.
