An artistic crossing between the universe

In Threads, Gunn published a sketch of Eglie flying with panache amid a hoard of animals released from advanced evolution labs. This pencil drawing is simple but faithful to the final scene of the film where the main characters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe run with a herd of animals, each with their own.

Gunn, in the post, highlighted two animal “Easter Eggs”: “Here’s a fun one from Watchmen 3 (other fun facts about this episode: Ya Eagle from cameo and executive producer Simon Hutt’s dog, River, Down at the End).” Not only love, but also shows the bridge between the cinematic worlds of Marvel and DC.

Gunn’s ability to weave elements from different franchises shows a unique creative vision, able to cross the barriers between DC and Marvel. This juxtaposition, however brief, is a nod to fans of both universes, providing a moment of excitement and surprise on the big screen.
