Kintaro will be a young man defending 10th century Japan from an attack by symbiotes.

In the world of comedy, there are moments that mark the before and after. This April, Marvel Comics brings one of those defining moments, with the publication of “Kid Venom #1,” the first four-issue limited series that promises to shake the foundations of the Marvel Universe. Famous manga artist Taigami owns this fun episode, where he not only writes but also describes the amazing journey of Kintaro, also known as Kid Venom.

Taigami, who first introduced us to Kid Venom in the “Death of Venom” series, takes us on a journey through time and space. From an alternate version of 10th century Japan to present-day Earth-616, Kintaro’s journey challenges the timeline and explores what it means to be a hero.

The origin of the resistance

In Heian-era Japan, a young man named Kintaro defends his village and faces the threat of a symbiote. His story, in the series “Death of Poison”, showed us how this brave boy joined his own symbiote Clint to protect his people. This origin story, recently collected in “Kid Venom: Origins #1,” laid the groundwork for what was to come.

The first issue gives us a story full of action and mystery. According to the official synopsis, we find ourselves in Japan in 977, where Kid Venom will face the evil symbiotes. But there are more eyes on Kintaro and Clintaro than you might imagine, opening the way for new characters and dangers in a rapidly expanding world.

Creator’s love

Taigami, whose admiration for the Marvel Universe began during his school days, expressed his joy and wonder at seeing his own creations integrated into this rich superhero universe. “It’s an honor. Being a huge fan of the Marvel Universe since I was in school, it feels unreal,” Taigami commented on his contribution to the Marvel canon.

The wait is almost over. The comic will be available in comic stores starting Wednesday, April 17th. Expectations are high and fans are ready to be a part of this new chapter in the history of Marvel Comics.

In this new symbiote series, Marvel Comics and Taigami invite us to witness not only a new story, but also the birth of a new icon. From ancient Japan to the modern day, Kintaro and his symbiote Clint are ready to write their own legend in the Marvel Universe.

Types of poison

Over the years, he has presented himself in various forms and variations, each of which adds complexity and charm to this already visible Marvel character. Since first appearing as a symbiotic alien entity associated with Spider-Man, the symbiote has evolved, taking on many hosts and manifestations.

One of the most notable variants is Anti-Venom, a refined and healing version of the original symbiote. Another interesting twist is found in Agent Venom, when the symbiote merges with Flash Thompson, which creates a deep sense of obligation to the military.

“if so…? What if…? “Poison #1” Each of these variants not only expands the character’s universe, but also gives us new lenses through which to explore themes of identity, power, and morality.

At the heart of these tales, Kid Venom emerges as an addition to this universe. Set in ancient Japan and in the present day with one shoe, Kintaro offers a new perspective and a new narrative within the rich history of the stories of this most iconic Marvel character who has become more popular over the years.
