The media is commenting that Gaiman made that offer Main Video and the producers of the series. It was recently reported that production had been suspended due to sexual assault allegations against Gaiman that emerged over the summer.

The entire controversy surrounding Gaiman began on a podcast when four women alleged that the author had sexually assaulted them. Gaiman has since denied the allegations, and while many might think that by stepping away from Good Omens he is taking responsibility, the truth is that Deadline has clarified that this decision does not mean that the author has admitted to being responsible for what he is accused of.
