Naomie Harris will not reprise her role as Shriek in Venom: The Last Dance, despite having fond memories of her time in Spider-Man
Venom: Carnage Live was a significant improvement on its predecessor, but it still left many comic book fans unsatisfied. Woody Harrelson plays Cletus Cassady as expectedly insane, while Naomie Harris does her best with the material she’s given as a villainous screamer.

Shriek’s sonic screams played an important role in the final battle of the next. After an unsuccessful attempt to get revenge on Detective Patrick Mulligan, Shriek falls from the top, sealing her fate before a large church bell falls. Although comic book fans know that heroes and villains often come back from the dead, Harris made it clear that this is not the case.
In an interview with MovieWeb, Harris confirmed that Shriek will not make a surprise appearance in the upcoming film. “Shriek is well dead and buried. So there’s no chance he’s going back to Venom,” Harris said. But I had an incredible experience with Andy Serkis, he’s a fantastic director. Tom Hardy is another amazing actor I would work with anytime in the future and of course Woody Harrelson. I love Woody, he’s amazing to work with.”
Harris added: “If indeed [Sony] I’ll come back if you ask me, but Shriek is definitely dead, I’m afraid.”
The fate of Carnage and the future of poison
Another non-returning character is Carnage. Although Venom’s ultimate villain, Eddie Brock is also eliminated when he rips off his head and eats the symbiote. However, if rumors of a crossover movie with Knull, the god of symbiotes, are true, Carnage could be on the way again. As for Schreck, her role appears to have been a one-off appearance for Harris.
