As we await the return of My Adventures of Superman to Adulthood with its second season, the creative team behind the series has revealed some surprising details about the character designs, especially Clark Kent. And there was a clear mandate: make Superman as attractive as possible.
An order from above
In an interview with CB, co-producer Josie Campbell and executive producers Jake White and Brendan Clogher were asked if this guide to grooming Clarke actually existed. White replied directly and humorously:
“Why not? The truth is, there’s a mandate to make everyone as attractive as possible, but especially Clarke. From the beginning of the animation reviews, we’ve sent a message that Clarke should have big, beautiful Disney princess eyes. Clarke is a space princess and should always be treated as such. Yes, Clarke.” It should always be beautiful.
The never before seen Clark Kent
This approach gives us a clear idea of how the creative team is approaching the series. It’s funny to think there are people debating how attractive Clark Kent is in the animated version… although there might be.
My Adventures with Superman is a coming-of-age story centered around twenty-somethings Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Jimmy Olsen as they discover who they are.
In this new season, “the three best friends face a series of new threats. Powerful enemies emerge from Clark’s alien world, Amanda Waller takes aim at Superman, Lois struggles with her future, and Jimmy Olsen makes an incredible fortune.

The series starred Jack Quaid as Superman/Clark Kent, Alice Lee as Lois Lane, and Ishmel Sahid as the voice of Jimmy Olsen.

The second season begins with two episodes on Adult Swim, followed by a new episode every Saturday. New episodes are also aired on Sundays on peak days.
