The following contains spoilers to Mobland Season 1, episode 7, “The Crossroads”, now streaming on Paramount +.
Ritchie Stevenson is after reprisals and the public believes the best Mobland Delivered. Consumed by revenge following the murder of his wife and son, “The Crossroads” signals a turning point in hostilities between Ritchie and the Harrigan clan. Having been overthrown by Maeve on an Antwerp agreement, this episode is pure research and rescue, Harry da Souza style. Brendan and Seraphina are in the wind, having been torn off by angry sales partners, while Stevenson uses them as a lever to demand a return on investment. Brazen and brutal in the pursuit of some awards, Mobland go full Scarpace,, drag the audience for the journey.
With an infiltration operation approaching, everyone is locked in a country manor, while this episode rocks between quiet landscapes and rapid arms shots. Harry is on alert, following a breadcrumbing track which sees him through the bicycle across Europe. Back home, Eddie becomes comfortable with Gina, while Jan and Alice meet at the last minute for a heart to heart. Now more than ever, Mobland concerns the relations that shape this story, where power and status remain the goal – an objective that makes Brendan and Seraphina consumables, unless Harry can call in favor.
Ritchie Stevenson governs the perch
Meanwhile, Maeve Harrigan is taken off
Ritchie Stevenson holds all the cards in this captivating episode while he orchestrates bloody revenge. In the real gangland style, Geoff Bell goes to town inside the skin of this character, crossing a traitor in the Harrigan clan. The trade on the excessive confidence of Maeve Harrigan, played with an accomplice zeal by Helen Mirren, Mobland come to life. With the calculation of the ice loop of a great master, Ritchie Stevenson surpasses the Moll of this gangster in Wolf’s clothes. Behind his desk and through the power of technology, he offers this comfortable clan a seat in the front row. The public who felt disappointed by the “Blues d’Antvers” will have their confidence restored by an episode which is coupled with the complexity of these characters.
Harry Da Souza could be in the center and the center, but a large part of what makes the “crossroads” excellent occurs outside of his influence. Tom Hardy may do his best James Bond instrument, but Maeve Harrigan is the place where real power exists. Throughout Mobland, She manipulated Conrad and preparing Eddie for grandeur, counting on her proximity to ensure protection. It is an approach that has not only succeeded but almost ousted her husband from power. Here, the delicate balance is undone as Karma returns to visit Maeve.
Ritchie (in Maeve): You know Maeve, I respect you, you had power.
“The Crossroads” is not only an appropriate title for episode 7, given the precarious that things have become, but it also seems symbolic. There are troubles in the rows of Harrigan and slowly everything gets out. With a movement that Maeve considered infallible, his world is crashing now. For the public who benefits from this drama, it now seems that this family is taken in a rat trap with their options that flow quickly. Now more than ever, Mobland moves to an unexplored territory, propelled by a powerful whole which intentionally blindly blinds its audience.

Harry remains a huge influence on Mobland
It could be Tom Hardy’s best performance
Harry Da Souza could be on the rear burner in theory, but he is undeniable Mobland. “The Crossroads” sees him becoming a complete hero, eliminating the bad guys and administering his own form of justice. Ablated by loyalty, Harry goes in search of Brendan and Seraphina, who were launched in Antwerp. With the anchored precision, Tom Hardy brings to each role, Harry sends all obstacles by applying a force and a touch of coercion. This is exactly where the action is for every minute of Mobland in a literal sense. In complete tactical equipment and speed dial in Conrad, the public presents itself in a mustache to save the reckless elements of this family thanks to Da Souza.
Cat (at Harry): Harry, you owe me.
The public obtains a seat at the forefront of this man of action, who moves the sky and the earth to bring Conrad together with his children. What Mobland Continue to do with this character keep it interesting. Being in a broken relationship is a cliché for any other actor in this role, but Tom Hardy finds new layers to discover. Harry Da Souza, who has embittered, but coldly calculated, could be the role of his career. This may look like a scanning declaration considering Mobland is just a series of streaming, but it highlights something much more important. Large-scale consumer entertainment is no longer limited to cinemas, despite what writers-realizers could say like Quentin Tarantino.

Alice has ulterior motives
Jan lives a life of quiet despair
Back on the lawn at home, Jan Da Souza made her own waves with the best friend Alice. It is a discreet relationship that would be perfectly innocent without certain subsequent reasons. Alice is the hairstyle palette in a bite operation designed to trample, undermine and capture Conrad Harrigan for good. The pleasure for the public has just sat down and watching writers Ronan Bennett and Jez Butterworth weave their magic. Emily Barber did an impressive job with a minimum of screen time, in front of an underestimated Joanne Froggatt. Better known to have played in The alienist And BridgertonBarber brings something to Alice who gives Jan Da Souza more substance.
Paul (to Jan): I heard killers and gangsters, what is it?
Their dynamic offers the public the opportunity to see this trophy woman with her guard outside the Mobland machine. What he does too is to make Alice more credible by withdrawing it from this police procedural sub-teterigue which sometimes threatens to derail their connection. Within “The Crossroads”, this meeting acts to defuse tensions in the country and abroad, keeping the things that turn while the public benefits from their precarious position while knowing how deceived and sly. However, Mobland maintains the dramatic balance by bringing the attack dog resident Paul to break them before Alice becomes too comfortable, not only to restore the limits but give A worker Former Emmett J. Scanlan Time to Shine.

Brendan Harrigan is out of options
Mobland becomes medieval
The money fired Mobland Performs between Brendan Harrigan, Seraphina and a chainsaw. There are no prohibited sockets to represent their fate and this paramount original + rises notchy accordingly. While the public looks in horror, this entertaining and inventive gangland drama is closer to the light Garine of horror filmmaker Eli Roth. However, this violence has been justified, these actions encouraged and, therefore, the public will understand. The following is the simple result of an escalation between families of rival crimes, less a major calculation error of Maeve Harrigan. What this moment also does is to remind anyone looking at that Mobland always means business.
Attached to a chair and soaked in sweat, Brendan Harrigan begs for his life. Daniel Betts may have had a lower role so far, but he treats these moments with care. Going out by a single degree, and it risks drifting in caricature; Go in the other direction and the public could be alienated. In the end, his performance raises these uncomfortable scenes in something with an emotional depth. Mandeep Dhillon is in a similar position by playing Seraphina, both entitled and illegitimate, but no less precious to Conrad. Faced with the reality of their own mortality, these confidence funding babies will instantly complete.
Lopez (in Seraphina and Brendan): your father is not the man he was.
From now on, all bets are disabled in terms of location where the public can expect to trace the line. There is a rat inside the Harrigan house, and its tenuous grip on power begins to slide. Having taken from the side of Ritchie Stevenson against her husband, it is only a matter of time before everyone turned against Maeve. This is something that allows the public to revel in the moral ambiguity of this last episode, as Mobland Landsets in this essential criminal drama.

“The Crossroads” is a really convincing episode
Kevin Harrigan is still sidelined
“The Crossroads” is another excellent entry into this impressive series. Just when the public could expect Mobland To settle in a routine, he continues to surprise. With relationships always explored in the Harrigan manor, there is still a lot to unpack. However, Kevin is still sidelined, even if his prison sentence hides dark secrets that deserve to be told. Paddy Considine has been a background reader for too many episodes now, and time is exhausted for resolutions.
If there are criticisms on MoblandA lack of action for this character remains at the front and center. Everyone gets their moment in the sun, from Eddie on Gina Da Souza, but Kevin rarely looks. “The crossroads” is not different, giving the insights of the public of a traumatic past through flashbacks. However, they represent very little and feel like a reflection after the fact next to all the other actions.
Fortunately, this last episode places all the other feet on the right, offering some of the most convincing dramas of Paramount +. With a truly stacked cast including Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and Lara Pulver, Mobland The public hung on for a good reason. Harry Da Souza could hold everything together, but at the center of this show is a dynamic dysfunctional family. The fact that they are defined through criminal activities and resort to violence when conversations fail only make this series more intriguing.
The fact that this episode also offers the public an overview of someone new is also crucial. Somewhere in the world on a private jet, Harry has another connection capable of doing miracles when everyone is out of options. Who they are and how they met is a mystery that acts as an attractive cliffhanger, closing an episode that makes people speak. However, how much this favor cost Harry another conversation.
