A new report claims that Millie Gibson is leaving Doctor Who, which means she won’t be a part of the show after the 15th year.

The 2023 Christmas special series introduces the new Doctor played by Benkuti Gatwa and his new friend Ruby Sunday by Millie Gibson. Although fans have been expecting to see these actors on the show for a while, Gibson’s involvement in this universe won’t be long, according to a new report.
Variety confirms that Doctor Who will no longer have the actress after the 14th season, which starts in a few months. Also, reports say that Varada Sethu will be a replacement in the 15th episode of the series, which will give life to Gatwa as a new partner.
Varada Sethu is known for playing Sheeran in Jurassic World Dominion 2022 and the rebel Cinta Kaz in Star Wars show Andor.
Despite Gibson’s abrupt departure, Doctor Who features constant changes of companions that have occurred several times throughout the story.
