Spiderman grows up and marries Mary Jane with a new life from the Marvel Heroes line published by Panini Comics

In the year At the end of the second half of the 1980s, the time for Spiderman was full of character changes, and one of the most important ones is now collected by Panini Comics, which, among other things, remembers when. Good old Peter Parker takes it a step further by giving up his life as a young bachelor to settle down with Mary Jane Watson. The voice in question comes to us under the title of Marvel Heroes. Spiderman’s Web: The Move.

Growing up with Peter Parker

It’s something that has been lost in recent years or decades (at least if Mephisto drove Peter and Mary apart and made them forget their relationship), but if we talk about the classic era of the wall-crawler, we can see perhaps the most obvious evolution of the character of the house of ideas. And the character is not changing and revealing himself, but growing, developing, accumulating experience and becoming an adult, far from the fifteen-year-old boy who was bitten by a radioactive spider.

Well, it’s true that Peter’s aging isn’t exactly happening in real time. A quarter of a century from the time he first appeared in the cartoon to the time we are presented here, an adult who has already had a serious relationship and a normal life as a couple. Perhaps this time the equivalent in the real world was about one year in Peter’s life for every two years.

But, beyond the chronological inconsistency of what is a monthly comic, we see Peter deal with his bully problems at school, struggle with his aunt’s health, struggle with his first job as a photographer, and deal with the death of a loved one. As a superhero, he overcomes a thousand and one challenges, becomes independent, and prepares to live a new life with the woman who is now the woman of his life (courtesy of Gwen Stacy).

That magic may have been lost in these times, but for those who learned to read in the amazing fantasy number 15, the experience of following this young brave’s life every month will be the comic book equivalent of those children. The first book was Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and they continued with the saga. They grew up with Peter, and that’s a big part of what makes him not only the most beloved character in Marvel Comics, but one of the most popular fictional characters on the planet.

Complete nature

It might be a mistake to think of this volume as a volume in its own right, especially for someone unfamiliar with the wall-seeking stories of the late nineties, as the stories included here serve more as a supplement or extension than anything else. It happened in those times in Peter’s life.

This collection had several objectives (except for the obvious one, which is to make full use of the character that works as beauty), and among them we resolved the need to tie up the broken plots that were built in other collections. Giving the opportunity to expand and give more context to some of the stories, and most importantly to delve deeper into what different aspects of Peter’s personal life might have been.

This nature gives us decontextualized numbers that are hard to enjoy as we find our net sometimes in traditional clothes and sometimes in black, and we find adventures that start with the media. When you buy a comic at a newsstand, how attractive the cover is regardless of what collection it comes from or what issue it comes from.

But on the bright side, we have to say that we are going to satisfy one of the aspects that gave us the highest respect for this character. The usual J. Ignoring Jonah Jameson, May Parker, Flash Thompson or Bette Brandt, here we find the special housewife Mamie Muggins, with Lance Bannon, with Glory Grant, with Amanda Robertson, with Nathan Lubensky (May’s boyfriend) and many others. Favorite characters mostly lost in time. Reminiscing about your time in this series may unlock the buried memories of many gray haired readers.

The superhero after the citizen

Here we have many gems that will be appreciated by the loyal Spiderman reader. In the most pajama of these stories, everything related to the identity of the goblin should be highlighted, this secret is very similar to the situation with the green goblin in his time. Rose, Hulk, Man-Thing, Wolverine and Vulture also appear here, but in general the superhero tone of these issues is much more toned down and more grandiose than usual in wall-crawler collections.

Among the differences, the story we see here is widely developed, focused on something that was fashionable at the time as a sect, attracting a lot of attention. What’s curious about this presentation is the importance MJ’s career as an underwear model gets in this plot. By the way, the eclipse of Peter David, the screenwriter who raises the level of this size with every intervention…

But occasionally we’ll find an annual issue included here, almost entirely, consisting of a series of pin-ups of all the characters that were part of the Wallfinder community during those years. In this special, which can be used as an introduction to readers who are not completely familiar with the legend of the character, we will find a lot of ground that everyone knows, but some forgotten (to this day) such as Stegron, The Spectre. , Wisp, White Dragon, Moon Dog, Rocket Runner, Black Moon, Monstroid, Mirage, Mind Worm or Jeremiah to name a few.

Published in hardcover by Panini Comics, the deluxe edition contains 560 full-color pages with a page size of 17 x 26 cm and includes the US edition #25 to #30 and #34 to #49 of Spider-Man’s Web Translation. Also the annual issues #3 and #4 and issue #349 The Incredible Hulk.

The volume is also Julian M. It includes a small section at the end of the volume, which Clemente introduced under the title Tellaragna Transitiva. It has a recommended retail price of €49.95 and goes on sale in November 2023.
