The historic Avengers anniversary issue will bring together legendary heroes, iconic creators and the culmination of the current Avengers saga

Marvel Comics has revealed the first details Avengers #800a gigantic issue that will arrive in January and which will mark a before and after in the phase written by Jed MacKay next to the artist Farid Karami.

This special won’t just wrap up storylines like the war between Kang the Merlinbut will also include backup stories created by legendary artists of the past. “Avengers #800 represents a milestone for both the title and our story… It was great to be part of such an important anniversary!” MacKay said.

The main cover will be by renowned illustrator Russell Dauterman, who will pay homage to decades of vengeful history. “I jumped at the opportunity to design these covers; I feel honored to be part of this milestone Wonder“commented the artist. Dauterman explained that he was inspired by the equipment of X-Men From Jim Lee and in the immortal art of George Perez.

The epic illustration will span three issues, culminating in Avengers #36. Meanwhile, Marvel promises further revelations about the “surprise makers” who will participate in this heroic celebration.
