Wahlberg fans may notice the actor’s unique look from the film. He previously spoke about his character’s bald appearance in Risk of theftrevealing how he was able to keep the horseshoe hairstyle for filming his scenes. ‘Monster Summer’ Stars Mel Gibson and Mason Thames Discuss Collaboration and the Film’s Seasonal Appeal

In this exclusive CBR interview, Monster Summer stars Mel Gibson and Mason Thames describe their characters and the film’s deeper messages.

“There was no baldness,” Wahlberg said, according to People. “I shaved the middle and left the horseshoe on the sides. We just shaved it. They shaved the top as close to the scalp as possible every day, obviously, because we didn’t have stubble or anything so I just hid with a hat But the most priceless thing was seeing my wife’s face when I took off my hat after getting my hair cut for the. work that day… My children, my boys in especially, loved getting their hair cut because of that.”

On growing his hair as fast as he could once filming was over, he added: “For me, yeah, it’s not fun. I hope I can just become the character. Wearing a fake wig or a fake mustache, I always feel like it’s ridiculous.”

With the moustache, Wahlberg was perhaps partly alluding to his role in the Unexplored movie. In the video game adaptation, he plays Sully, a mustachioed character from the original games. Wahlberg had already hinted that he would wear a mustache in Uncharted 2sharing last year that he was told to “start growing a mustache” as the script for this sequel was finally being submitted.

Risk of theft will be released on January 24, 2025.
