Tom Hiddleston has shared his desire to create multiple encounters between Loki and some of Marvel Studios’ superheroes.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has become a complex tapestry of history and characters, but even within this vast cosmos, there are adventures that have yet to materialize. Tom Hiddleston, the charismatic actor behind Loki, shares his wish for a yet-to-be-realized matchup of the Norse god of deception in the Marvel Universe.
Loki and the pending connections: A journey through the MCU
Since his debut in “Thor” (2011), Hiddleston has played the villainous false god in several MCU installments, including appearances in such blockbusters as “The Avengers” and “Thor: Ragnarok.” Despite being available for more than ten years, there are characters that Loki has not yet crossed paths with. In an interview with ComicBook.com, Hiddleston reveals these aspirations.
“I don’t think Loki is connected to the Guardians,” Hiddleston said. “That could be fun. I think she found them interesting. In addition to Guardians of the Galaxy, he cites Spider-Man, Winter Soldier, Bucky, and Sam as standouts.
The confrontation with Doctor Strange in “Thor: Ragnarok” left Loki in trouble, Hiddleston remembers him fondly. “Loki and Strange is an interesting combination,” he says. At Ragarrock, I’d say it’s a point for Doctor Strange based on that interaction.
What’s next for Loki?
At the end of “Loki” Season 2, the character will be able to explore more of himself, especially considering that he now controls all timelines and will probably cross paths with many MCU heroes. Fans have speculated about meeting Thor, but the possibility of meeting his sister Hela is also raised, in order to change the past or the reality he lived with his brother and father.
The second season follows a character fighting for the soul of a time-varying authority. Accompanied by Mobius, B-15, and a cast of new and returning characters, Loki ventures into the increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Rensselaer, Miss Minute, and the truth about free will and noble purpose.
The star cast includes Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and more. Justin Benson, Aaron Moorhead and Dan DeLeo direct episodes, penned by head writer Eric Martin.
Loki’s character evolution
In recent years, the Asgardian god has undergone a remarkable evolution from villain to complex and multi-faceted anti-hero. This change was well received by fans, who enjoyed seeing different aspects of his personality. In the new season, it is expected to delve deeper into his character, exploring his motivations and inner conflicts.
Loki, played by Hiddleston in the MCU. It has left an indelible mark not only on popular culture. His charm and complexity have made him one of the most popular and iconic characters in the Marvel Universe. His influence extends beyond movies, inspirational comics, merchandise and fans.
