‘The Acolyte’ begins to create news and expectations among fans. British actress Jodie Turner-Smithknown for his role in the film ‘Queen & Slim’, has revealed new details about his involvement in the upcoming ‘Star Wars’ series premiering on Disney+.

In a recent interview, Turner-Smith shared some details about her character in the series, although the overall plot was kept under wraps.
This will be the first series in the saga to be directed by a woman. Leslie Headlandand is expected to develop in the era of High Republichundreds of years before the events of the Skywalker saga.

Acolyte is a big project
During an interview with Collider, Turner-Smith discussed her role in the series and how the tone is very different from previous projects she’s worked on.
Turner-Smith:
“Obviously, the question is different. It’s different when everything you do is light-hearted, and that’s not what I did for Star Wars. But I worked with my favorite director, Kogonada, and under the direction of Leslye Headland. It’s amazing to watch. I can’t wait to see how this show turns out.”
They also asked him if he will be able to use the iconic lightsaber to which he replied “Not a Jedi”though he teased that he’d use something exciting instead:
“I didn’t get to use a lightsaber… but yeah… I didn’t get to use a lightsaber”
While the series hasn’t received much attention, it’s also possible that production details have been sparse since Lucasfilm and Disney are working on it.
Currently there is no specific release date, it is certain that it will be released in 2024, but more information is expected to be revealed at the next ‘Star Wars Celebration’.
The series looks set to be an interesting addition to the ‘Star Wars’ universe with an all-star cast and a mysterious and hidden plot.
Turner-Smith’s comments about her character and the series have fueled more interest from fans for more details about the production, at a time when it is questionable whether the franchise is showing signs of exhaustion due to overproduction.
Regardless of what anyone says, we can’t wait to see how this new story will play out in this galaxy far, far away. May the force be with you.
