Matt Damon is in talks to return as Jason Bourne
The action saga consists of five films: The Bourne Affair, The Bourne Myth, The Bourne Ultimatum, The Bourne Legacy and Jason Bourne. Matt Damon has been at the helm of the franchise since its inception, with The Bourne Legacy being the only film he hasn’t been involved in.
Seven years after the last episode, it’s clear that this version of the character will return in another film. Deadline reports that Universal is developing the sixth installment of the saga with Berger in talks to direct. The outlet notes that Damon is not yet attached to the project, but that plans include the actor reprising his role as Bourne. The report also clarified that the studio will reach an agreement with Damon once the script is complete. At this time, it is not known who will be the screenwriter of the film.
