At the latest Comic Con, Jaimie Alexander talks about her future in the MCU and reveals amazing details about unseen Lady Sif scenes.
Jamie Alexander, best known for his role as Sif in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently came up with a bold idea: a series on Disney+ based on her character with Beta Ray Bill. During the San Antonio Comic Convention, the actress shared her thoughts on expanding her role in the wider universe of Marvel superheroes and what it feels like to play one of her favorite characters.
Ever since her debut in Thor (2011) and her follow-up in Thor: The Dark World, Alexander Sif has been a fearsome warrior. However, her screen time has been drastically reduced in her upcoming projects, which she hopes to change. According to her, she and her team are working on a proposal for a series that could further explore the story and adventures of Sif, a character who has yet to debut but has a strong following in the MCU. And their appearance has been rumored for years.

Scenes left from the screen
In addition to his plans for the future, Alexander showed shocking scenes cut from Thor: Love and Thunder. In particular, the intense battle between Sif and the Gore Slayer, played by Christian Bale, was cut from the finale. “It was an exciting fight. We met on the set and both of us were disappointed that we couldn’t do that battle,” confides the actress.
Another scene narrated by Alexander showed his character in a vulnerable state, seeking healing after losing his arm, adding to his depth of character that viewers unfortunately didn’t get to see. These cuts not only reduce his role in the film, but also limit the threat of the main villain and reduce the dramatic tension intended.
The relationship with other heroes and the way forward
Looking ahead, Jaimie Alexander expressed her desire to interact more with other MCU characters. An interaction with Iron Man, even if the latter is no longer present, can provide funny and dynamic moments, especially considering Sif’s outspoken and combative nature. “The flirtation will be fun because I think Lady Sif will punch him in the face…” Alexander joked.
With rumors of a fifth installment and possible appearances in other Avengers movies, Sif’s future looks bright. In the meantime, fans can continue to enjoy Thor: Love and Thunder on Disney+ while reminiscing about these beloved characters.
With these details, Alexander not only strengthens his relationship with Sif, but also illuminates exciting possibilities for his narrative in the MCU, promising adventures for fans and heroic moments that are sure to capture viewers’ attention.
Other MCU characters that can interact with Lady Sif
In addition to connections with Beta Ray Bill and Iron Man’s comedic flashbacks, Lady Sif can also form interesting connections with other popular MCU characters. A meeting with Valkyrie, the queen of Asgard in the fourth episode of God of Thunder, can make a dramatic difference as both Asgardian warriors have a strong sense of duty and loyalty. Valkyrie, with her newfound leadership, and Sif, as she seeks to redefine her position, may find each other allies or even friendly rivals in future narratives.
Another potential friend of Sif’s could be Dr. Strange, whose mystical powers and knowledge of the multiverse could help him explore unknown aspects of Asgard and its mythology. This combination of combat skills and magic provides a vivid contrast and opportunities for adventures in worlds beyond those previously known, thereby enriching the experience of MCU fans.
