
James Gunn Superman Warm to theaters this summer, several months after the second presidential term of Donald Trump. Although the film arrives when there is a lot of political speeches in America, Gunn feels that it is the right time for his Superman Film to be released.

Gunn clarified that his steel man, played by David Corenswet in the next film, is not part of the “cultural moment”, suggesting that there is nothing in the film which is directly inspired by recent events in American policy. He continued by explaining what Superman represents, noting how his code is something that has never changed over the years.
