
Principal photography has begun on the new Superman movie.
The first film of the new DC Universe has changed its title, and the first look at the Man of Steel S shield has been revealed.

To celebrate Iron Man’s birthday, James Gunn shared the logo the hero wears in the DCU on Threads. The famous filmmaker also announced that the film has changed its title and will now simply be called Superman. Below, we share Gunn’s exact words.
“Today, February 29th, I’m excited to announce the start of principal photography on the accidental and unplanned birthday of Man of Steel. When I finished the first draft of the script, I called the movie Superman: Legacy. By the time I closed the final draft, it was clear that the title was Superman. We are heading into July 2025. Happy birthday, Clark! Up, up and away.
