James Gunn has spoken about the realistic approach the show Lanterns is taking
The boss of DC StudiosJames Gunn clarifies his recent words in which he stated this Lanterns It will be a down to earth series.
The lanterns will be “realistic”
On the podcast Happy Sad Confused, Josh Horowitz asked Gunn what “down to earth” means when referring to the DCU show centered around Hal Jordan and John Stewart, so the director tried to explain.
“Well, I don’t want to give all that away. I think it’s a little down to earth, like if the Green Lanterns were real, what the hell would they be and what would they be like? I was thinking about this the other morning. What keeps coming to light is that this is an Earth story. And I said, “Yes, because it’s on Earth, the story takes place on Earth.” Everyone says, “We don’t want to see.” [la Tierra]’, they come from space, they fly with rings’. I said, “Yes, I’m on Earth for the story, like most Green Lantern stories.” They are tied to the earth. It’s not in space. “We don’t have a thousand Green Lanterns or something.”
“It’s a real story told through another lens in a way that’s really… it’s an HBO series, and it will be an HBO series. “I’m happy and I love scripts.”
I’m not really sure if this explanation really clarifies his previous statements, other than this realistic approach for such a character Green Lantern It seems a little strange. However, it is still too early to draw conclusions. The series of A.D It doesn’t have a release date yet.
