James Gunn finally provides an update on The Authority project
The boss of DC Studios, James Gunn, He clarified the movie status of The Authority to a fan.
How production of The Authority is progressing
In Discussionsone fan asked Gunn if The Authority is in pre-production or if the project is currently dormant. As expected, Gunn wasn’t entirely clear in his response, but at least it gives us an idea of the state of production.
“These are not the only two options. Some screenplays are in development, looking for writers, or being written or rewritten. When scripts are finished and ready to be made, they receive the green light and then go into production.
What Gunn’s words really confirmed is that the project is still in a very early stage of development. The DC Studios film does not yet have a release date and does not have a director or screenwriter.
