Dan Slott disagrees with those who criticized the She-Hulk series for not being faithful to the comics
Dan Castlewho has written the most comics by She-Hulk in solitude, does not share many of the series’ criticisms of the character.
On Twitter, Slott reflected on those who mention how unreliable the show is and that this is the main reason they didn’t like it. “I’m the guy who wrote more issues of SHE-HULK than anyone else,” Slott wrote. “I’ve read all the comics from every race. And I say for the record, It is the MOST comic book accurate show in the MCU..»
The Marvel Cinematic Universe series was criticized for its writing, character work, and adaptation from the comics. The show was heavily inspired by Slott’s She-Hulk and at the same time used a lot of elements from John Byrne’s sensational She-Hulk.
Despite the attacks from the audience, She-Hulk was a hit with critics. Some defended the show’s premise and parodies of the concepts UCM. Tatiana Maslany received much praise for his portrayal of Jennifer Walters. The actress revealed that the writers knew the show could be targeted by trolls and chose to mock them directly.
“As a cast, it was wonderful to send each other these troll responses, like, ‘Oh my god, give them a week and then they’ll literally watch this verbatim on the show and become the villains.’ It was exciting,” Maslany said. He also said that the main writer Jessica Gao knew well that the series would receive backlash.. “Jessica Gao is a genius and knows the culture we live in and her place in it when she writes these stories about a female superhero.”
