Sylvester Stallone and Hulk Hogan locked in blockbuster sequel Rocky III. As the two characters fought in a very physical scene, Stallone referenced Hogan’s talents to share how he was very well taken care of by the WWE Hall of Famer.
In a video interview, Hogan praised Stallone for being able to keep up with him during filming despite their obvious height difference. Hogan specifically pointed out how Stallone even lifted him into the air, emphasizing the actor’s strength, “It was him“The clip was posted to Instagram by Stallone, who shared some kind words for Hogan in the caption. At the time of filming, Hogan was still on the rise in the professional wrestling world, but he was not yet the megastar he would become in the 1980s. The release of the film helped propel his stardom even higher, greatly fueling the phenomenon that would come to be known as Hulkamania. Hogan also stayed in touch with Stallone, the two becoming friends after working together on Rocky IIIStallone even inducted Hogan into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.
Hogan’s role in Rocky III is one of the most memorable characters in the entire franchise, despite not being its main antagonist. The sequel primarily focuses on the feud between Stallone’s Rocky Balboa and Mr. T’s Clubber Lang, culminating in a major match between the two. Earlier, Rocky participates in a charity event with Hogan’s character, a professional wrestler named Thunderlips. This marked Hogan’s film debut before he went on to star in films like No limits, Suburban CommandoAnd Mr. Nanny.

Hogan rarely acts these days.
