The Walking Dead The finals of the season were defined by curve balls in history, action -fired sequences and external deaths. The final of the series of the AMC series was no different. The subject of discussion in the aftermath of The Walking Dead Season 11, episode 24, “Rest in Peace”, was the return of Rick Grimes and Michonne in the last minutes, confirming their status to set up their series of spin-offs Those who live. In “Rest in Peace”, the group works against Pamela Milton to withdraw it from its management position to install a fair democracy, but to prevent a horde invading the Commonwealth. The ambulance carrying the little daughter of Rosita, coconut and other children, crashes in the aisle behind the hospital and soon becomes surrounded by walkers. Rosita, Eugene and Gabriel do not take time to cut the walkers and save the children, but the only way to get out of the remaining horde is to climb a drainage pipe leading to a window.
Rosita falls from the pipe with coconut attached to her, and the pair falls into the horde. But Rosita manages to fight her way, deceiving Gabriel and Eugene to believe that she was safe. Later, however, a sick Rosita reveals Eugene that she was bitten by a walker in the fall. Because the bite is on its left shoulder, nothing can be done to save it. Rosita and Eugene keep secret until the defeat of Pamela and the Horde, as it can take a few minutes to two days for the infection completely transforming a person into a walker. Rosita dies peacefully in her bed surrounded by her loved ones, especially Eugene, to whom she speaks her last words: “I’m glad it is you at the end.”
