Henry Cavill appeared at CinemaCon to talk about the new Immortals movie
Henry Cavill dropped some interesting details about the Immortals reboot.
What can we expect from the new Immortals movie?
The popular fantasy franchise began in 1986 with the original film directed by Christopher Lambert, who gave life to an immortal trained by Sean Connery’s character. Later, this universe would expand thanks to the launch of three series, a show, a spin-off and a television movie. Sure enough, Immortals became a phenomenon, and that’s why there’s a reboot starring Cavill and directed by Chad Stahelski.
To talk about the next project in the saga, Cavill himself appeared at CinemaCon as part of promoting the reboot.
“I’m a fan of the original movies, for better or for worse. And when I first read the script, it’s one of those things where I wasn’t sure where they were going to go. But my goodness, we’re only touching on the story from the original movies. The meaning of these characters and their various trials and tribulations. We’ll investigate. And so, if you think you’ve seen me make a sword, you ain’t seen nothing yet, I promise.
It’s good to know that you want to take advantage of all the good things about the Emirates universe to delve deeper into the characters. Plus, the fact that the reboot has Stahelski is at least a guarantee that we’ll have some good action scenes.
