Hello Kitty and his friendly colleagues from Sanrio were driving several cute crosses. Now they lead to new heights with cars from an emblematic toy line.
Takara Tomy is known for its Tomica cars, and the brand is developing with the new Tomica Tunes series. With pretty caricatured characters in equally adorable cars, the line begins with several favorites from Sanrio. Lancing in a few months, it is only the first of what is certain to be several collectibles of this type of the brand.

Tomica Tunes Toys combines Hello Kitty from Sanrio, Kuromi and more with a new Diecast Reveal car
The first wave of Tomica Tunes Toy Cars offers seven collectibles on the theme of Sanrio, although only six have currently been revealed, the other being still a secret. As its name suggests, the line will seek apparently on anime and cartoon characters, the vehicle toys themselves having a similar caricatural aesthetic. In the case of Sanrio toys, each of the pilots is somewhat super deformed, with the cars themselves on the theme of the characters. For example, Hello Kitty corresponds to his red bow, while Cinnamoroll’s car has the same palette of blue and white colors as the dog itself. The other characters in Sanrio in question are the Kuromi wearing a buffoon hat, my melody, Pompompurin and Pocchacho, and it is possible that the seventh toy is a character such as Hangyodon fish or a similar Sanrio “B-List” mascot.
Ironically for such optimistic and adorable characters, the Tomica Tunes Sanrio cars have mascots who all seem frightened and discouraged, as if they did not know where they were going. Nevertheless, they are supposed to continue to advance while presenting a nice form of persistence with tearful eyes. Diecast cars will each cost 1,320 Japanese yen (~ US $ 8.75) and will be published in just over a month in May 2025. This is the Japanese release date, with toys that should become available in specialized and online stores. Beyond Sanrio, we do not know what other brands Tomica Tunes Line will be available, or if the specific series in Sanrio will continue. However, it is described as “Tomica Tunes Sanrio Characters Vol. 1”, which means that it is likely to go beyond the most traditional characters of the brand to present more esoteric favorites in Sanrio.
