The following contains spoilers to Gwenpool # 1, for sale now from Wonder.
Obviously, I think everyone gets it. When Marvel announced that Gwen Stacy had resurrected as a kind of Assassin of the X weapon type, he was clearly intended to be a shock. You don’t bring Gwen Stacy without expecting people to panic. This is the point. But part of the point is that people cannot tell you what the plan is in advance. I discussed this with Cavan Scott some time ago, and he noted:
I hope that my history helps – how I have treated the characters in the past, trying to find their voice and honor their trip – but I know that for many readers, it could be their first time to meet my work. They don’t know me Adam Warlock! All I can do is repeat that I like Gwenpool. I love what it represents. And I want her to thrive.
Does that mean that it gets easy driving? Of course not. These are comics. Part of the pleasure consists in putting our characters through the spinner. But I’m not here to tear anything. I want to build something fun, strange and unexpected. And everything is done from a place of respect. This is my promise.
And nothing in Gwenpool # 1 suggests that we should not completely trust Cavan Scott with that.
Gwenpool # 1 is the writer Cavan Scott, artist Stefano Nesi, the color artist Matt Milla and the letter Ariana Maher, and, let’s be honest, that is only really putting the story more than anything, so if you panic on the new Gwenpool, you will always be frightened at the end of the problem, but if you have an open spirit, I can see where you can see where you can see Scott With Scott with that, and it looks like that.

X-31 sends them in various bloody ways, even beheading one of the agents. We learn that even if this is very real (and very deadly) for agents, everything is a training exercise for X-31.
At the end of the exercise, X-31 having killed all her enemies, her mysterious boss (whom she jokingly calls the “Grand Architect”) tells her that she can finally go to her first duty, where she must track down and kill three Deathloks that have disappeared.

How did the new Gwenpool showed up to Spider-Man and Gwen Poole?
Gwenpool teams up with Spider-Man, Hawkeye and Jeff The Landshark in a fight with Fang Foom. As you all know now, the whole agreement of Gwen Poole is that she knows that she is in a comic strip. Scott takes this concept in a notch by ensuring that Gwen really uses the comic strip tips to wait until the artist is backing up on the page scale, thus showing the end of Fang Foom Small, then she reintegrates (after having hidden in the white space between the panels) and is now huge. She intelligently refers to a page that is in the middle of how to draw the length of comics from comics on perspective …
(I imagine that the pages are different in each edition of the book, so I don’t know precisely what Scott page refers, but 29 is clearly slammed in the middle of the perspective section)
Now, as you can imagine, it’s much more powerful than Gwenpool normally, and it is, of course, a source of concern, and that brings us to the introduction of the new Gwenpool, which kills Deathloks, which are here to kill Gwen Poole and shot Spider-Man in the process! Gwen Poole notes that it is obviously out of character for a story with Spider-Man, and that’s what I think Scott is alluding. This story clearly deals with multiverse in one way or another.
Thus, when a resurrected Gwen Stacy appears at the end of the story, there is clearly much more to do with this than “Gwen Stacy is back, and now she has claws!”
But is shocked by the interruption of the new Gwenpool, which reveals at the end of the problem that it is Gwen Stacy.
