No one could have imagined how woven into the fabric of the MCU he would have become when Vision first appeared in Avengers: Age of UltronThor jumping onto his pod to bring the android to life with a thunderous bolt of Mjolnir. It’s now impossible to imagine Marvel cinema without him, and a new look at what awaits us for his first-ever television series, Vision Questhints at quite a journey ahead.
Those in attendance at New York Comic Con 2025, a group that included CBR, were treated to the first trailer for Vision Questand the first thing that came off the screen was the sequel to White Vision by Paul Bettany – a villain who debuted during the events of WandaVision this created him as what can only be described as the anti-Vision.
Bettany was also in Vision’s human form, a return to WandaVisionand he wasn’t the only one in the literal flesh, as he was joined in the trailer by human versions of each of Tony Stark’s former or current AI assistants: Jarvis, Friday, and Edith; and even Ultron, taken over by James Spader.
At one point during the viewing, it was Tommy who graced the screen, with Pietro Maximoff’s nephew Quicksilver largely hinting at his likelihood of becoming the superhero Speed when he wore a silver wig and a lightning bolt as a Halloween costume in Westview but, this time around, Tommy was tall, and we now know that Billy is too, from his time spent following Agatha Harkness and her black magic. on the witches’ road in Agatha: All Along.
Now the link between WandaVision, Agatha: All Along And Vision Quest is intentionally undeniable, as it was the clash between these three main characters that not only helped Maximoff realize her calling as Scarlet Witch, but ultimately gave birth to White Vision.
A vision for the future in the MCU
Brutally killed in Avengers: Infinity Warwhen Thanos ripped the Mind Stone from his forehead, causing his lifeless form to lose all color before falling to the ground, Vision was recreated by the love of his life, Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch, in WandaVision for Disney+. The two became an adorable family of four set in a nostalgic time, until the darkest of secrets was revealed, in that none of it was real.
Everything that has happened since has been anything but fabricated, Scarlet Witch’s trauma even led her to spread horror in Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madnesswhen she relentlessly pursued America Chavez to access the dimension in which her sons actually existed. The third installment of the Disney+ saga is banking on some major events, which will likely have further impact on the events leading up to Avengers: Doomsday – Elizabeth Olson makes a strong case for Scarlet Witch’s return in this film – but with Vision leading the charge this time around in the upcoming eight-episode series.
Vision Quest, initially scheduled for December 2025, will arrive on Disney+ in January 2026.
