Everything you need to know about MK1: The End of Khaos Reigns

One of the things fans wanted to see Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns was the rise of the Titan Havik. The first iteration of the reboot had him come in as a replacement for the Titan Shang Tsung and the evil variants who attacked Liu Kang’s new world. In short, Titan Havik wanted to do the same thing, but in his case, he simply wanted to spread the doctrines he learned from the Realm of Chaos.

This add-on allows it to do just that. It is not content to enslave these realities; it causes pure destruction by poisoning people’s minds. However, as he and his minions spread anarchy, Titan Havik finds Liu Kang’s alliance more resilient than ever. It gives rise to many twists and turns, with surprising characters who become key players in a story which proves the importance of Mortal Combat The multiverse is still on thin ice.

Titan Havik’s plan is to use the iconic Kamidogu daggers, which will help him reshape all realities. He plans to use a portal in Ying Valley (a mystical link) in Liu Kang’s world to spread chaos like a supernatural virus and cause various worlds to devour each other. He senses Bi-Han’s strength, which is why he imprisons him and places chaos in his body. Leader Lin Kuei is brainwashed from Sub-Zero to Noob Saibot.

When Scorpion, Cyrax and Sektor team up with a variant of Tanya and Rain in the kingdom of Havik, the mission becomes twofold. They must first save their Geras (i.e. the First Geras), as Havik needs Geras’ very essence to complete his transference from chaos. Second, if it’s possible, Sektor wants them to save Bi-Han. It’s the honorable thing to do. Unfortunately, Noob Saibot is now a lackey and is trying to kill them.

Luckily, they neutralize him, save Geras, and return the daggers to their timeline. There, Liu Kang uses his magic, but while he heals Bi-Han’s mind, his body will take longer to repair itself. However, Bi-Han remembers part of his code when he hijacked the Lin Kuei. He decides to temporarily ally and defend this dimension when Havik and his forces arrive.

Favorite Mortal Kombat character?

When you sit down to rip out your friend’s spine or give them a quick decapitation, who is your favorite Mortal Kombat character? My favorite is probably Kung Lao, but there are no wrong answers.

Titan Havik ends up stealing the daggers and placing them in his body. It’s a walking, talking Infinity Gauntlet, put simply. All he has to do now is use the portal and infect the Multiverse. However, he underestimated Liu Kang’s coalition. Familiar faces from the first game return to action. They include Raiden and Kung Lao. Johnny Cage is also present – he meets his variant, Captain Johnny Cage.

Empress Tanya from Rain’s world is also there. She wants revenge for her husband’s death at the Citadel. Sektor puts aside his differences with Cyrax and follows Bi-Han into war. It’s a bloody disaster, but Liu Kang and Co. eliminate Havik’s henchmen. Bi-Han further embraces his Noob Saibot side and eventually defeats Havik. The sad thing is that he wants to assassinate Havik, proving that he has learned nothing. Liu Kang admits that they have no idea what will happen if Havik dies, as he is linked to all timelines due to Geras’ daggers and essence.

Bi-Han, however, just wants to profit from the killing. It’s the same selfish, hasty mentality that saw him betray Scorpion and Smoke, causing them to run away and form the Shirai Ryu. When Bi-Han tries to fight Liu Kang, Geras freezes him. Liu Kang takes pity on Bi-Han’s angry soul. He makes it clear that he will not kill Bi-Han; he will store him in stasis and try to use his power to heal him later.

In the meantime, Sektor takes over leadership of the Lin Kuei. His father was the clan’s weapons designer, so the succession makes sense. But Liu Kang warns her that he will no longer be merciful. She has a chance to turn things around and remake the clan into the defenders they are meant to be. Otherwise, Queen Mileena and Co. will have every right to kill them. Liu Kang will also do it. Sektor accepts the offer and leaves, although she is bitter.

Cyrax needs a new home – she hated the way Bi-Han turned on her. She almost killed Scorpion and oversaw many deaths during his marriage to Harumi. Scorpio, however, understands that she has repented. It’s not his fault, because Sektor helped plant lies into his mind. Scorpion addresses her as her human side, Kuai Liang, and lets her know that she is a hero. She did her duty and saved the kingdom. Now that she has defected, she can rejoin her tribe.

Cyrax is thrilled, because all she wanted was a second chance, and now she has it. She knows Liu Kang will need help. He hides Bi-Han at the Temple of the Elements, along with other relics the bad guys will want, and Scorpion considers her a sister. Harumi hinted to him that Cyrax would be a useful partner in shaping the Shirai Ryu. SO, he doesn’t just follow his instincts, he follows Harumi’s heart and recruits a worthy champion..

Mortal Kombat 1 reveals Khaos Reigns patch notes

Mortal Kombat 1 reveals the patch notes for its first expansion, Khaos Reign, ahead of its release.

These events end the expansion on an optimistic note, but Liu Kang’s team is wary. There are other Haviks, as well as more Titans who have mastered the Sands of Time and Kronika’s Hourglass from their realities. They must plan their timetable for their forays. He has this wonder Secret Wars edge to him. But at least Liu Kang knows he can do the opposite of what Titan Havik did.

He can use emissaries like Cyrax and establish diplomatic ties with other worlds. Liu Kang must be proactive and not reactive if he wants to protect his home. Fortunately, he has some level-headed and genuinely kind warriors with him. At the end, Khaos reigns confirms that even if the Mortal Combat the franchise will always rely on the concept of a Deadly Alliance, heroes can always forge friendlier ones to protect any timelines in need of help.

MK1: Khaos Reigns is now available on PC, PS5, Switch, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
