Big things are coming to the pages of Marvel Comics in 2026, and every one of them already seems worth it.

At New York Comic Con this past weekend, Marvel Comics gave fans a sneak peek at some of the biggest comic book titles and events set to arrive in 2026. In addition to new series such as Godzilla: Roar of the Infinite And Sorcerer Supremefans can expect some truly massive events, including the end of the Ultimate Universe as it stands today, and that’s just the beginning…

Godzilla: Roar of the Infinite

Godzilla: Roar of the Infinite expected to accelerate in the wake of the current crisis Godzilla destroys the Marvel Universewhich saw the titular kaiju blast his way through almost every hero who dared to stand in his way.

Written by Gerry Duggan and illustrated by Javier Garrón and Ig Guara, the five-issue book Godzilla Infinity Roar will see Godzilla blast off into the cosmos before finally teaming up with none other than the original King in Black, Knull, as has been teased all along. Godzilla vs. Spiderman #1.

“Most movie stars are huge pains, but not Godzilla, who has been a privilege and a joy to collaborate with, and the fun will continue in space,” writer Gerry Duggan said of the series. “And I can say that the ideas that are in the mix now are going to make this the biggest, craziest, most dangerous Godzilla crossover ever. The Marvel Universe has never been in more peril! See you in space.”

Spider-Man/Venom: Death Spiral (and) Queen in Black

Written by Joe Kelly, Al Ewing and Charles Soule with illustrations by Jesús Saíz, Amazing Spider-Man: Death Spiral is a new one-shot set to kick off the events of the next Spider-Man/Venom: Death Spiral crossing.

Due to hit comic book store shelves in February, Amazing Spider-Man: Death Spiral will mark the culmination of The Amazing Spider-Man, VenomAnd Eddie Brock: Carnage with the emergence of a particularly disturbing mystery. As noted in the official synopsis of the solicitation for Amazing Spider-Man: Death Spiral from Marvel Comics, “A new super-powered serial killer is on the loose and they’re coming for Spidey, Venom and everyone in between. But what terrible secret has CARNAGE learned and what does it have to do with Spider-Man?!”

Amazing Spider-Man: Death Spiral wasn’t the only new symbiote-centric title revealed during NYCC, as fans also got a teaser image of the upcoming Queen in black event. Scheduled for next summer, Queen in black will obviously follow in the footsteps of King in blackat least to a certain extent. Presumably, Hela, the Asgardian goddess of death, will take over Knull and Eddie Brock’s old role, although how that will happen, or what she will do with that power once she claims it, is anyone’s guess at the moment.

X-Men: Shadows of Tomorrow

X-Men: Shadows of Tomorrow will mark the next era of X-Men narration as the mutants of the Marvel Universe are reeling from the events of The Age of Revelation. THE The shadows of tomorrow the event will begin in January.

Three comeback titles, X-Men, Strange X-MenAnd Wolverineall before spilling into the pages of three new limited titles and four new ongoing titles throughout the rest of the month and into February. Upcoming limited series include Thug by the writer Erica Schultz and the artist Luigi Zagaria, Magik and Colossus by writer Ashley Allen and artist German Peralta, and Cyclops by writer Alex Paknadel and artist Roge Antonio.

New X titles in the works for 2026 include inglorious X-Force by writer Tim Seeley and artist Michael Sta. Maria, which will see Cable form a whole new team filled with fan-favorite mutant heroes. The next step is Wade Wilson as Deadpool from writer Benjamin Percy and artist Geoff Shaw, which will deliver a darker Deadpool story than fans are used to seeing in Merc With a Mouth. Generation X-23 from writer Jody Houser and artist Jacopo Camigni will see Laura and Gabby Kinney team up to solve a mystery that dates back to their origins, while Storm: Earth’s Most Powerful Mutant by writer Murewa Ayodele and artist Federica Mancin pits its titular hero against a range of emerging threats.

Dungeons of Destiny

Following the events of A doomed worldMarvel Comics’ most feared dictator will be toppled from his throne and in a new limited series, Dungeons of Destinyby writers Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Benjamin Percy and an artistic team composed of Carlos Magno, Robert Gill, Justin Mason and Georges Jeanty.

The official synopsis of the solicitation for Dungeons of Destiny Marvel Comics #1 says: “In the aftermath of ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM, with Doom’s Castle empty and masterless, the superpowers of the world race to claim and control the untold power and technology that awaits them within. But when an explosion sends them all plunging into a dungeon maze none of them knew existed, what started as an arms race becomes a terrifying game of survival. Who, if anyone, will survive? And what horrors lie hidden. in the DUNGEONS OF DOOM?”

The end of the ultimate universe

For two years, Ultimate Universe has captivated readers with its bold new takes on classic Marvel Comics characters and concepts. Today, the Ultimate Universe is rapidly approaching its end, although there is no indication that it will be an abrupt end. While readers were only treated to teasers for a handful of titles during NYCC, the final issues of each current Ultimate title have been confirmed.

While Ultimate Spider-Man from writer Jonathan Hickman and artist Marco Checchetto will conclude in December, the rest of the Ultimate Universe finales will begin in January with the release of Ultimate Endgame #2 by writer Deniz Camp and artists Terry Dodson and Jonas Scharf. The official synopsis of the solicitation for Ultimate Endgame Issue #2 of Marvel Comics reads: “The heroes of the Ultimate Universe – including Spider-Man, America Chavez, Killmonger and Doom – are desperate for a way to stop the Creator. Additionally, Iron Lad makes a stunning and heartbreaking discovery that could forever change the fate of the entire Ultimate Universe. Don’t miss this crucial chapter that will leave you in shock!

In January, Ultimate Black Panther Issue #24 from writer Bryan Hill and artist Stefano Caselli will close out T’Challa’s story with an epic showdown against the seemingly unstoppable Progenitors. The following month, the 24th and final issue of Peach Momoko’s hit Ultimate X-Men will arrive in stores, marking the end of one of the most mind-blowing sagas of the Ultimate Universe. April will see two more Ultimate titles come to their conclusions with the release of both Ultimate Wolverine #16 by writer Chris Condon and artist Domenico Carbone and The Ultimates #24 by writer Deniz Camp and artist Juan Frigeri.

Deniz Camp, who was largely the architect of the Ultimate Universe after the departure of original writer Jonathan Hickman, said of the end of Earth-6160’s epic tale: “It’s hard to talk about without getting emotional. It’s really the culmination of everything Jonathan started. Everything in my book and everyone else’s book converges. It’s going to be definitive, it’s going to be big. It’s going to be emotional, There’s going to be death… It’s just wild.”

Dan Buckley, head of Marvel Comics and the franchise, added: “You’ll be able to take this journey (the beginning, middle and end) and digest it for years and pass it on to others.”

Sorcerer Supreme

Two particularly noteworthy new titles were revealed by Marvel Comics in New York this past weekend, including the upcoming Sorcerer Supreme current series. Although little is known about who exactly is behind the creative team of Sorcerer Supremecover art previewed at NYCC seemingly confirms many Marvel mainstays, including Carol Danvers, Gambit, Wanda Maximoff, Storm, and Nico Minoru, all vying for the eponymous mantle.

The official synopsis of the solicitation for Sorcerer Supreme from Marvel Comics says: “The Sorcerer Supreme is dead. Long live the Sorcerer Supreme. In the aftermath of A doomed worlda new power arises. A person ready to challenge tradition, break all the rules, and chart a bold new path. Will this rogue Sorcerer Supreme take magic in the Marvel Universe to new heights or leave it in ruins? »

Star Wars: Jar Jar

The last exceptionally surprising title released by Marvel Comics in 2026 is Star Wars: Jar Jar. Written by Marc Guggenheim, Ahmed Best and Kieran McKeown, Star Wars: Jar Jar will see the titular character deal with “the consequences of granting emergency powers to Chancellor Palpatine.”

As the official synopsis of the solicitation continues for Star Wars: Jar Jar from Marvel Comics, “What central role does Jar Jar play in the formation of the Rebel Alliance?” Star Wars: Jar Jar will also feature an appearance by Jedi Knight Kelleran Beq, the fan-favorite character played by original Jar Jar Binks actor Ahmed Best in several franchise entries ranging from Jedi Knights has Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge has The Mandalorian.
