Attack on Titan has proven to be among the greatest anime of all time in every respect, and its openings are a major reason. Anime series are notorious for leaving easter eggs in their open spaces, all of which are beautiful and catchy, with musical instruments and lyrics that the main characters encounter to encourage fans for the trials to come. However, like Attack on Titan, no other series has revealed the plot in such a complete and dramatic way.

As humanity struggles to survive against the mighty titans, it seems only fitting to accentuate the intensity of the situation with a heavy orchestral ensemble, a chorus and a familiar aura of war and fan-favorite imagery. Wishing for more. Attack on Titan’s open spaces are nothing short of inspiring masterpieces of Gus Bumps that tell a story beyond their vision. Neither opening focuses on what’s happening that season, but rather the overall message of Attack on Titan, and that message is based on their level of surprise.

8 Season 4, Episode 1: Shinsei Kamattechan – My Battle

Opening 6

Attack on Titan begins the final season of the series with Boku no Senso (My Battle) by Shinsei Kamatechan. As the 6th opening in the series, there is no question that it will repeat the same high stakes and the strength of all the previous openings, and if the name is not bright enough, the pictures of the 6th opening show a battle of harmful balance.

As stunning saturation colors overlay monochrome animation, the beauty of destruction brings Mine War to life. This song sounds more like a battle cry than any regular opening, which makes it fit the franchise well. The opening’s unique female vocals, haunting piano and hypnotic violin strings are as captivating as they show. Spine scenes can be seen that point to Eren Yager as the founding Titan.

7 Chapter 3, Episode 1: YOSHIKI feat. HYDE – Red Swan

Opening 3

Red Swan by YOSHIKI feat. HYDE is a relief compared to other Attack on Titan openings. With its melodious melody and soothing sounds, moving along with stunning visuals, the Attack on Titan Opening 3 is a rewarding experience of hope, intrigue and sadness. Scenes of Eren happily soaring through Shiganshina and meeting Mikasa and Armin are followed by pastel portraits of the three friends in lighter moments, followed by portraits of a young Levi Ackerman and his late uncle Kenny. Showing how this opening applies to the past and the future.

In a poem that says it’s okay to be afraid, people are as flawed as fallen angels and will find happiness if they stay their course. This open captures the beauty of youth, which is unfortunately tainted by circumstances.

6 Chapter 1, Episode 2: The Bounded Horizon – Jiyuu no Tsubasa Wings of Freedom

Opening 2

An opening that combines military national anthems, angelic choirs and heavy metal into one glory-sized set can only be found in Flugel der Freiheit (The Wings of Freedom) or Jiyuu no Tsubasa on Linked Horizon. Expectations were high after Attack on Titan’s first release, and Release 2 did not disappoint. From start to finish, singer and songwriter Revo pours his heart and soul into free lyrics as they focus on the animations of joining a scout regiment and using their ODM gear for the first time to fly through the blue skies. Their wings of freedom.

As the intelligent Titans emerge, the lyrics and lyrics of this opening show that the Scouts will not shy away from the enemy and will fight to ensure that the deaths of their comrades are not in vain.

5 Chapter 3, Episode 2: The Bounded Horizon – Shuke from Shikabane no Michi (The Path of Desire and the Corpse)

Opening 5

Shouki is an example of building to Shikabane no Michi (Path of Wishes and Corpses) in Linked Horizon. By opening the 5 Ports, the scout regiment hopes to end the endless siege of pain and destruction brought on by the Titans, a melody that emphasizes danger, the only reward being to fight another day. With lyrics that encourage you to move forward no matter what the heart feels, no matter how uncertain the future or how unforgiving the future may be.

These lyrics make the Scouts’ animation go straight to hell. Charging the enemy’s head while outnumbered in both recklessness and initiative. Hints at the upcoming The Rumbling further highlight their determination to end their war. It is enough to bring tears to the eyes of despair.

4 Chapter 4, Episode 3: Sim – Under the Tree

Opening 8

The masterminds behind Attack on Titan’s most menacing opener have ended the series with another piece of musical magic about righteous punishment and the agony of victory. At the bottom of the sim tree is the ultimate in all aspects of attack. In their last attempt to save the world from Eren, it brings together the innermost fears and inner conflict of the scouts hell-bent on destroying it at all costs.

While many scenes are about longing or running towards something beyond control, the end goal of kicking over the wall and seeking freedom is closer and closer. Opening 8 uses Titan’s dark tone with powerful electric instruments and vocals, aided by a flawless chorus, to create images filled with the events of the past that led everything to this final moment.

3 Chapter 1, Episode 1: Linked Horizon – Guren no Yumiya (Feuerroter Pfeli und Bogen)

Opening 1

The opening that set the tone for Attack on Titan proved to be nothing short of a thrilling, heart-stopping, and epic experience that would rock the anime world forever. To convey that the citizens of Shiganshina do not live in peace in the walls 1 to open the chains used, they are trapped, when they want to be free, like a bird in a cage. Lead singer Revo pulled out all the stops with Guren no Yumiya (Fuerroter Pfeli und Bogen) on Linked Horizon, giving fans a song that reflects the horror and turmoil the characters endure.

The poem says, “The humiliation of being imprisoned is what motivates us to fight back. We hunters slay hunters beyond castle walls!” The nostalgia that comes from this opening is chilling. Following the animation of the manga panels and future events, the set’s powerful crescendo and choral climax, Opening 1 is known as the opening that really started it all.

2 Chapter 4, Episode 2: Sim – The Noise

Opening 7

Menacingly powerful and domineering, The Rumbling by SiM is as captivating as it is frightening. The end of the world is near, and what better way to forgive all those lost in the end times than by singing this heavy metal anthem? The introduction of Opening 7 is an inescapably tyrannical tyranny that begs the question of what happens when nothing can be given. Scenes from the 9 Titans reveal their destruction and past, leading to their relationship with Ymir Fritz and The Paths.

Eren Yeager walks in disgust on Wall Maria, where rampaging begins, the earth shakes, and 80 percent of the population perishes. The poem describes how Eren doesn’t want to be a king and doesn’t want to be an assassin. Although he is remorseful, apologetic, and depressed, he still…continues to press forward against all those who try to take away his freedom. This opening tragically depicts the hero’s downfall and Eren’s attack on Titan’s true villain.

1 Chapter 2, Episode 1: Linked Horizon – Shinzou wa Sasageyo

Opening 3

The peak of Attack on Titan was neither the beginning nor the end, it was in the second season and it was the moment Shinzou wa Sasageyo’s Eternal Flame burst into life in Linked Horizon. The joyous key of the piano rips through the screen to the maniacal orchestral intro of the title. Attack on Titan 3 proved to be promising from the start, with fans being given spoilers by the fan-favorite Linked Horizon. It’s no surprise that this opener is more than perfect.

The animation cuts to the endless return of the Titans who terrorized Shinshina, the scouts preparing for battle, and the lyrics to “What must we do to overcome the strength of the devils? We have no desire to protect our lives or souls. Offer! Offer your hearts. If this is necessary in any way, the scouts charge into battle and Eren fights the armored titan.” It unlocks climaxes to fight in. 3’s opening is fun, flashy, stylish and cinematic, making it Attack on Titan’s best opening of all time.
