Lucasfilm is considering using Rey Skywalker as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the new era of Star Wars

Apparently, Margaret Ridley returns to the Star Wars saga for much more than just a movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rey will be fundamental to the next phase of the saga and we will see her in several films. The source doesn’t go into details, but this information confirms that Ridley’s character will appear in more stories beyond his project announced in Star Wars celebration of 2023.

THR’s report also states that “Rey is the most valuable cinematic asset, in some ways perhaps the only one, that Star Wars has right now.” Many fans already think Rey will play the role Obi-Wan Kenobi in the new phase of the saga.

If the heroine is truly fundamental to the future of the franchise, let’s hope so Lucasfilm he’s taking the time to properly build what we’ll see next, because his products need to be good enough to withstand the attacks of those who hate Rey.
