Does Terrifier 3 have a post-credits scene? The Ending of Horror Movies, Explained

Terrifying 3 is undoubtedly the goriest film in the franchise. Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) is the least merciful, and no one is safe in the film, not even the children. Director Damien Leone has raised the bar when it comes to bloodshed, death scenes and general brutality. For example, a little boy is slaughtered during a gruesome home invasion sequence early in the film, and many happy-go-lucky children are involved in an explosion at the Santa Mall near the middle of the film. That’s not even counting the memorable bathroom scene where one character meets a grisly fate with the help of a chainsaw. Needless to say, viewers should be aware of the numerous trigger warnings before viewing Terrifying 3 because the film is relentless with its blood splatters, amputations, and holiday desecration.

Where does Terrifier 3 pick up?

For those who don’t know the story, Terrifying 3 picks up five years after the events of the second film. The last girl, Sienna Shaw (Lauren LaVera), has just been released from a psychiatric hospital and will stay with her aunt Jess (Margaret Anne Florence), her uncle Greg (Bryce Johnson) and her little cousin Gabbie (Antonella Rose), who completely idolizes him. As Sienna settles in for the holidays, Art the Clown and his new accomplice, Victoria “Vicki” Heyes (Samantha Scaffidi), are awakened from a deep sleep inside the desolate abandoned building where they have taken refuge. While awake, they kill two building inspectors, leaving Art the Clown to collect his black trash bag and wreak havoc in Miles County once again. Only this time, because he’s in the festive spirit, he pretends to be Santa Claus.

Sienna’s time spent with her uncle and aunt, as well as her adorable relationship with Gabbie, are the focus of Terrifying 3. However, it’s also worth mentioning that Sienna’s brother Jonathan (Elliott Fullam) is also back. He’s now at college with a new roommate named Cole (Mason McCartea). Cole has a girlfriend named Mia (Alexa Blair) who hosts a true crime podcast and wants Sienna to be on the show. Mia is extremely tone-deaf about what this means for actual victims in real-life serial killer cases. These characters are by no means central to the plot, but they are worth mentioning because they are part of one of the most horrifying scenes in the film. Plus, Mia says a little something about Sienna that might be important later.

Art the Clown uses humans as vessels for rebirth

Vicki gets out of the bathtub in Terrifier 3

For everyone who thought that Terrifying and Terrifying 2 were brutal, the third film in the franchise is even worse with its visceral gore and splatter. For example, there’s a graphic scene of a student getting cut with a chainsaw in the bathroom that recalls the memorable reverse murder from the first film. After Art wields his chainsaw during this murder, he adds insult to injury by creating a snow angel in blood, while Creepy-thematic a holiday song plays in the background.

Art the Clown goes solo in this scene, but other notable killings occur with the help of Vicki, the desecrated survivor from the first film who is now used as Art’s vessel. Viewers learn around the middle of the film from Jonathan that Vicki is a sort of link that allows Art the Clown to live in this world rather than the mysterious realm he comes from. Vicki serves as Art’s spokesperson, and it is assumed that he projects his voice through her mouth.

At the end of Terrifying 3, Vicki appears to have been killed by Sienna. Once it evaporates, a huge smoke-filled chasm opens in the ground. Anyone familiar with the other films will remember a similar new realm that opened up in Creepy haunted house at the end of the second film. The safest thing is that this portal is a sort of door to Hell, where Art the Clown comes from. Vicki may or may not be back for the next movie. Viewers also don’t know if Art’s other “ship”, Little Pale Girl, will also return. She wasn’t there at all Terrifying 3, which leaves his fate just as mysterious.

We don’t know exactly why she’s the one who has to fight him, but there is a strange moment at the end of the film where the cuts she suffered while wielding the sword mysteriously disappear.

This moment is telling because it shows that there is a supernatural power that Sienna possesses that causes her to regenerate.. Since she suffered no visible damage, it is also possible that she could be held responsible for the crimes. Earlier, Mia, the host of Jonathan University’s true crime podcast, alluded to it by saying something about all the murders happening around Siena, but that she was never convicted . The end of Terrifying 3 leaves open the possibility that Sienna will take responsibility for all the deaths, especially those that occur at her uncle and aunt’s home.
