Deadpool and Wolverine’s battle in the Void is over, but the fate of the Resistance heroes remains uncertain.

It’s been five years since Marvel Studios announced a Blade reboot starring Mahershala Ali. However, the project has faced multiple hurdles, leading to speculation that it may be time to move on. But after Wesley Snipes’ appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine, the idea of him as the MCU’s latest vampire hunter seems more appealing than ever.
Snipes has proven that he still has the ability to play the character with the necessary vigor, which leads us to think about a possible future in which Blade will serve as a mentor to new supernatural heroes, or even to his daughter Brielle Brooks, who already has a history in the comics. This approach would allow Blade to play a pivotal role in the MCU without needing a full reboot.
A new opportunity on Earth-616?
Elektra, played by Elodie Yung in the Netflix series, has never managed to make her mark, also due to the unconvincing role that was assigned to her. However, her return in Deadpool & Wolverine showed us a more powerful and determined Elektra, free from the legacy of Daredevil.

Channing Tatum’s Dream Comes True
Channing Tatum’s dream of playing Gambit seemed to be over when the Disney-Fox merger scrapped plans for his solo film. However, Ryan Reynolds saved the character for Deadpool & Wolverine, allowing Tatum to finally don the Cajun mutant suit.
Although his interpretation has a humorous tone, Tatum has proven he has what it takes to play Gambitand his comic-accurate costume was a huge hit. With the possibility of seeing “classic” X-Men in the MCU, it wouldn’t be surprising if Gambit returned at some point before the end of the Multiverse saga.
Logan’s Heir
Since his debut in LoganDafne Keen as X-23 has been one of the most exciting additions to the mutant universe. Now, with Hugh Jackman returning as Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine, the possibility of Laura Kinney officially taking on the role of Wolverine in the MCU has been raised.
Marvel Studios could take advantage of the rumored soft reboot after Avengers: Secret Wars to establish Keen as the new Wolverine. With the blue and yellow suit and Wolverine’s name already in the comics, this transition could be seamless and give fans what they’ve been waiting for.
