Deadpool and Wolverine, everything that awaits us in the Marvel epic

Deadpool and Wolverine are just around the corner. In the year July 26, 2024 will arrive sooner than we think and theories have spread like wildfire across the networks and mainstream tabloids. There are many influencers looking for theories on what Deadpool and Wolverine are, or in other words, what the third installment of UCM’s savior is for many.

Deadpool and Wolverine will be the film that marks the return of UCM

UCM is reeling after recent releases at Cinema and Disney+, but the resurgence comes after what promises to be the biggest blockbuster of the year. Deadpool brings out the whole cannon of ideas, with the rest of the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and the rest of the great cast of the Mouse House now (minus the Spider-Man). The anti-hero is expected to not only break the fourth wall but also reach the revenue level as it has already come with two blockbusters in its previous installments. And that gives it an R rating.

At least that’s what they promised, and after Ant-Man discreet numbers: Qutunmania (476 million dollars), good numbers of Guardians of the Galaxy 3 (845.6 million dollars) and the failure of Marvels (206.1 million dollars). He called himself the “wonderful messiah”. In the teaser released at the Super Bowl (most viewed on YouTube), only a few glimpses of what viewers can expect are shown.

All the theories revolve around one thing, the Fox universe, the void we saw in LOKI (which by the way is one of the best series to have continuity in the MCU), be it multiple werewolves. The truth is that Ryan Reynolds is known to be indestructible, so they are a bell in the air. The surprises that await us can surpass all logic and above all all crazy theories.

Let’s probably start with the on-screen characters. ‘Endgame’ was expected to be short, but we were promised a lot of madness with Doctor Strange, and it was a little disappointing. But yeah, Deadpool and Wolverine (I don’t want to call him Wolverine) seem to pull everyone out of the hat. What about the FOX universe? Of course yes, but that’s just an understatement. X-Men Reboot? Of course, but why stop there. Of course, ignore that foam cardboard phoenix.

Characters to fill the screen, Avengers and Mutants

If Marvel wants to reboot the MCU, as decisions on the Multiverse seem to suggest, this is the perfect platform to make a movie. So in terms of characters, it is expected that we can confirm the presence of not only those from the 616 universe or FOX, but Tony Stark (from another universe) as well as the super Iron Man. A boring mutant, from X-Men, X-Force or Excalibur, in its many different versions. Or at least we hope so.

Mutants - X-Men - UCM

In theory about the Avengers, they will have no place in this movie, but with Ryan at the controls, it is not excluded that we will see some Avengers from different multiverses in a mass fight or war to save the multiverse. All this depends on the fact that Deadpool will not hesitate to tease us all, this is a very real possibility.

As for the plot, does it really matter? That is, Deadpool, Wolverine, Multiverse, Mutants and of course Avengers. This should be enough, but if the box office shows anything, it’s not enough if they don’t tell you a good story. A trailer or teaser revealed at the Super Bowl is a brush stroke (or troll) of a story centered around the Multiverse.

Open spaces for all kinds of theories

To understand this, we have listed the openings left by the last and chaotic phases of the MCU (Marvel cinematic universe). Full of SPOILES by the way.

The Eternals left it open as if there was a frozen (or dead) celestial on Earth. Theories suggest that the universe is not 616, but the truth is, if it is, it is an absolute Genosha; In Forever Eternal, we open up to the fact that the Dark Knight is roaming free in London. Doctor Strange gives us a glimpse into a universe where the Illuminati have gone through, surprisingly, if they don’t want revenge. And let’s not forget the post-credits scene, “Invaded.” We must not forget that the Scarlet Witch is not dead; Shang Chi will become an Avenger, but from which team of Avengers? We’ve seen different teams throughout history in the comics and it’s time for Marvel to do it in the movies. Loki and other Disney+ series have left several loose ends. From a new Captain America, a new Hulk, a dynamic Kamala, a thunderbolt, the destruction of Stark’s material, the Skels on Earth and a great one that could fuel all kinds of theories.

MCU Level 5 - Amazing

Step 4

We don’t expect all these theories to be resolved in Deadpool and Wolverine, but if Ryan Reynolds can break the fourth wall and get rid of Fox’s Deadpool, Green Lantern and other characters, it’s not unreasonable to think of any scenario. Mephisto is coming out to cheer the fans. Otherwise, you should see how Mister Fantastic is transformed into hot pasta just to please the people who requested his presence.

Another theory, and I’ll end with this, that seems to be gaining traction, is the creation of a multi-purpose team, no longer with Deadpool’s help, but with the Avengers and other superhero teams to stop the chaos. That makes Marvel #1 a loudmouth.

What is your theory?
