The executive producer of Creature Commandos has shared new details about James Gunn’s show.
Creature Commandos will be James Gunn’s first DCU project, so the tone of this series could be a preview of the types of stories we’ll see in the future.
The importance of creature commandos
In an interview with The Wrap, Creature Commandos executive director Dean Lorre talked about the importance of animated shows to the DCU.
“That will be James Gunn’s first appearance in the DC Universe. “We’re looking at that canon, and I think it describes his vision of where he wants the universe to go.”
“It’s a ‘suicide squad’. He succeeded. “People won’t be surprised by what it is, but I’m excited to see how much impact it has on this new version of the DC Universe. I think they’ll be excited.”
The DCU series is expected to peak in December.
