The Sharingan is one of the most powerful kekkei genkai Naruto, and it has been passed down within the Uchiha clan for generations. This ocular kekkei genkai can see chakra and allows the user to copy any jutsu they see. The Sharingan grants incredible visual perceptionallowing the user to read their opponent’s movements. The basic Sharingan is a bit overpowered Narutobut there are some characters from Bleach who can counter it.

Most Bleach Characters who can counter the Sharingan possess great spiritual power and somewhat broken abilities. Many of these characters are high level Soul Reapers and Quinciesbut there is also an Arrancar that can render the Sharingan’s visual prowess useless. The Sharingan can place others under a special type of genjutsu, but this would have no effect on Bleach characters because none of them have chakra.

A Sharingan user should be able to dodge Ace’s thorns, but they would still be affected by his ability if they used his Quincy: Vollstandig. Lille is the leader of Yhwach’s elite guards.meaning he is one of the strongest characters in the Millennial Blood War arc. Lille has a second Quincy: Vollstandig – which essentially turns him into an intangible god. That being said, he can easily counter the Sharingan with his base form. Lille wields a large sniper rifle, making his X-Axis ability extremely overpowered.

The X-axis allows Lille to fire shots that can pierce through anything. These shots cannot be blocked and hit their target instantly. Under normal circumstances, A highly skilled Sharingan user could theoretically dodge a bullet. Unfortunately, Lille does not produce any visible projectiles with her rifle, meaning that a Sharingan user would not be able to track any of her shots. Even if the Sharingan user could get close to Lille, none of her attacks would work as Axis X also grants her intangibility.

8 Shinji’s Shikai Would Change Perception of the Sharingan

First appeared in episode 109: “Ichigo and Rukia, Thoughts in the Spinning Sky”

Shinji is once again the captain of Squadron 5 and possesses Hollow powers thanks to Aizen’s inhuman Hollowfication experiments. His Zanpakuto is called Sakanade and he can use it to wipe out an entire army of Sharingan users. His Bankai produces a special mist that reverses the concept of friend and foe.meaning he can force every Sharingan user to kill each other instead of attacking him.

In a one-on-one fight, Shinji would always have the advantage as his Shikai produces a very distracting optical illusion. Shinji’s Shikai reverses his opponent’s environmentto the point that front is actually back, and left is actually right. The Sharingan can read an opponent’s movements, but it wouldn’t be able to tell if Shinji’s attacks are reversed until it’s too late. Even if a Sharingan user understood Sakanade’s ability, their brain would still have trouble adjusting to the reversed battlefield.

7 Bambietta can perform omnidirectional attacks with her Quincy: Vollstandig

Bambietta is a female Sternritter with a sadistic personality. She enjoys killing her enemies and does not mind killing her male subordinates. Bambietta’s Schrift is called The Explodeand this gives her the ability to create bombs. She can release special spirit particles that turn anything they come into contact with into bombs. This implies that her bombs cannot be blocked.

The Sharingan should not be able to see these spirit particles, meaning the user would not be able to avoid them. Even if the Sharingan could see them, Bambietta can still counter the user’s visual prowess with her Quincy: Vollstandig. Using this form, Bambietta can perform omnidirectional attacks which can raze an entire area. The Sharingan can deal with direct attacks, but it cannot deal with dozens of simultaneous attacks from multiple angles.

6 Toshiro’s completed Bankai freezes any Sharingan user

First appearance in episode 24: “Assemble! The Gotei 13”

Toshiro is currently the youngest captain of the Soul Reapers, but he also happens to be one of the Bleachstrongest characters of. He uses Hyorinmaru – the strongest ice-type Zanpakuto. With it, Toshiro can generate and control large amounts of ice. Toshiro masters Hyorinmaru to the point that he can use some of his Bankai techniques while his Shikai is active.

Most of Toshiro’s attacks are direct attacks, meaning that a Sharingan user can follow up on them and dodge them. Some Bankai techniques would be harder to dodge, but they wouldn’t completely counter the Sharingan. Toshiro’s completed Bankai, however, is a different story entirely. In this state, Toshiro can instantly freeze a Sharingan user from a distance with a simple wave of his hand. If this happens, the user’s moves and abilities will all be canceled.

5 Baraggan’s Senescence renders the Sharingan useless

First appearance in episode 145: “The Espadas Assemble! Aizen’s Royal Assembly”

Baraggan was the second Espadaand he represented the aspect of death that revolves around time and aging. Baraggan’s main ability is called Senescencia. It produces a time dilation field around his body, meaning he can easily evade a Sharingan user’s attacks. If Baraggan counterattacks, the Sharingan will be able to read his movements, but the user will not be able to react in time due to the time dilation field.

Baraggan becomes a skeletal being when he releases his Resurreccion. In this form, his Senescence is enhanced to the point that everything around him rapidly ages until it turns to dust. This amplified Senescencia renders the Sharingan absolutely useless. because the user has no choice but to flee from Baraggan. If he does not flee, Baraggan can kill him by simply walking towards him.

4 Aizen can bypass the Sharingan’s visual accuracy with his Shikai

Aizen was the main villain for the majority of the series, and is currently serving a 20,000 year prison sentence. His Bankai has not been revealed, but his Shikai is extremely powerful.

The Sharingan can see through certain types of genjutsu, but Kyoka Suigetsu is not a genjutsu. This power would force a Sharingan user to misinterpret Aizen’s shape, appearance, mass, feel, and smell. Aizen can pretend to be a helpless child and the Sharingan user would not be able to tell until Aizen finally attacks them.

3 Tosen can neutralize the Sharingan with his Bankai

First appearance in episode 24: “Gather! The Gotei 13”

Tosen was the captain of Squad 9 when BleachTosen’s story began and he was arguably Aizen’s most loyal subordinate. He may have been blind, but Tosen could still use his spiritual power to sense things around him. This ability allowed him to become a master swordsman. Tosen’s Zanpakuto was called Suzumushi, and His Shikai could produce a high-pitched sound over a wide area. This tone would instantly knock out a Sharingan user as it would overload their hearing.

His Bankai can also counter the Sharingan as it would trap the user inside a large black dome. This dome would cancel the Sharingan user’s sight.smell and hearing. The Sharingan only works if the user can actually see, but this Bankai renders the user blind. Tosen could take down the Sharingan user with a single fatal blow, and he would have no idea the attack was coming.

2 Byakuya’s Senbonzakura can overwhelm the Sharingan with thousands of blades

First appearance in episode 15: “Kon’s Grand Plan”

Byakuya is the captain of Squad 6 and the current leader of the Kuchiki clan. Shunpo is a special movement technique that allows Soul Reapers to move faster than the eye can follow, and Byakuya is a master of Shunpo. Byakuya is one of the fastest characters in Bleach, so there is a high chance that the Sharingan cannot track his movements. If that is the case, a Sharingan user would not be able to dodge Byakuya’s deadly blows.

Byakuya’s Bankai is called Senbonzakura Kageyoshi, and He produces thousands of tiny blades that he can control with his mind. The blades will move faster if he chooses to guide them with his hands. When Sasuke fought Killer B, his Sharingan was unable to keep up with B’s unorthodox style with eight swords. If the Sharingan can’t keep up with eight full swords, there is no way for it to keep up with thousands of blades attacking from all directions simultaneously.

1 Gremmy should be able to blind all Sharingan users with his Schrift

Gremmy looks like a harmless young man, but he is actually one of the most powerful anime characters of all time. His Schrift is called The Visionary, and This gives him the power to turn his imagination into reality. If Gremmy imagines a colossal three-headed dragon with a gingerbread body, the Visionary will create it, and he can then give this creature any powers he wishes.

If Gremmy were to face a Sharingan user, he could use The Visionary to turn himself invisible. He could then grind the user’s bones into mush to ensure they could no longer move. If he wanted, Gremmy might imagine that the Sharingan user no longer has eyes. He can also use his imagination to blind the user by erasing their optic nerves. Gremmy can even create an invisible monster with superhuman speed in his place. While the Sharingan must fight imagination itself, it can counter it in an infinite number of ways.
