A few weeks ago, Disney+ premiered the third episode of season 3 of ‘The Mandalorian’, where the character of Doctor Pershinga scientist who worked on cloning research under the supervision of the Galactic Empire.
In this episode, you can see curious moments, such as when Pershing walks with the ex-soldier Elijah Kane through the streets of Coruscant and taste some very colorful ice cream, or eat some cookies that caught the attention of the followers.
So much so that ‘Star Wars’ has shared the recipe for these yellow cookies, which are part of Galactic Empire field rations. And best of all, you don’t have to leave any credit for new republic to get one of these cookies.
The ingredients and steps to make The Mandalorian cookies
Can’t you stop thinking about Dr. Penn Pershing’s cookies since they appeared in the third episode?
The complete recipe can be found on the official website and the ingredients needed are:
- Two and a half cups of flour
- Half a teaspoon of baking powder
- Half a teaspoon of ground ginger
- Half a teaspoon of salt
- Half a cup of melted butter
- Eight ounces of melted white cheese
- A cup of sugar
- One and a half tablespoons of lemon peel
- Two teaspoons of rose water
- Egg
- A quarter cup of powdered sugar
- Step 1: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, ginger and salt. Reserve.
- Step 2: Mix the butter, cream cheese, sugar and lemon zest in the bowl of an electric mixer.
- Step 3: Add the rose water and egg, then gradually add the dry ingredients until a smooth dough is formed.
- Step 4: Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Step 5: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare the baking trays with baking paper.
- Step 6: Roll out the dough with a rolling pin until it is about 1/4 inch thick. Use a cookie cutter to cut 3×3-inch squares. Place them on the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 15 minutes, leave to cool on a wire rack.
- Step 7: Sprinkle with icing sugar to serve.
