Sandra Yi Sensindiver lands in the new Alien series for FX.
In a highly anticipated move, Sandra Ye Sensindiver, best known for her role in Apple TV+’s “Foundation,” has been confirmed as part of the cast of Noah Hawley’s new series “Alien” for FX. In addition to adding an impressive name to the cast, this announcement also marks a significant turning point for the saga, which will take place on Earth for the first time. The series is expected to be released in 2025, and is currently in production in the stunning landscapes of Thailand.

Along with SensinDiver, they promise to take the series to a whole new level of fun and excitement, with the likes of Sidney Chandler, Alex Lowther, Samuel Blenkin and AC Davis among other talents like Adarsh Gourav and Timothy Olyphant. Hawley, who has delighted viewers with series like “Legion,” shared that this new entry into the “Alien” universe will not touch on parts of “Prometheus” and “Alien: Covenant.” Additionally, the series explores the rise of the infamous Weyland-Yutani Corporation and the competition between corporations to develop new android life forms, adding an extra layer of depth to the already complex “Alien” universe.

Hawley’s “Alien” vision is not a limited series, but an ever-evolving saga. As with “Legion,” he said he’s open to expanding the story further, depending on the public’s reception and the plot as the chapters go by.
In addition to the series, “Alien” fans can look forward to the Fede Alvarez-directed film “Alien: Romulus,” which will hit theaters in the United States on August 16, 2024.
