Agatha throughout sees the re-emergence of a WandaVision character that Kathyrn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness made her puppet during her participation in the parent series. The series creator reveals how the return of Evan Peters’ Ralph Bohner happened for the spinoff’s final episode.
Talk with Variety, Agatha throughout Showrunner Jac Schaeffer explained how she convinced Peter to reprise his role as Bohner, the former Westview resident trapped inside. WandaVision and controlled by Agatha to play Wanda Maximoff’s false twin brother, Pietro. According to Schaeffer, it was easy to get Peters on board. “I don’t really remember the timeline, but as far as his interest in it, it was a very simple call“, Schaeffer said. “He has absolute power best attitude about everything.” Schaeffer also said Peters brought “specific ideas for lines and jokes” to make Bohner a standout during his appearance.

In Season 1, Episode 6, “Familiar By Thy Side”, Agatha throughout explores the origin story of Billy Maximoff (Joe Locke) and how he came to join Agatha and her coven along the Witches’ Road. The episode refers him to WandaVisionWhen 13-year-old William Kaplan (Locke) celebrates his bar mitzvah on the same day, Wanda destroys his Westview control spell. When William and his parents return home after the bat mitzvah, they are run off the road by another driver and crashed into a tree, leaving William unconscious.
Tragically, William’s heart stops at the same moment that Wanda’s spell erases his twin sons, Billy and Tommy, from existence. When William dies, Billy takes over his body but remembers nothing of the accident and discovers his magical powers. As the story returns to the present day, Billy investigates his origins and arranges a meeting with Ralph, known as Randall in the series, who tells him about Wanda’s twin sons and what happened to them.

Schaeffer detailed how Peters went all out in his character design to emphasize how being Agatha’s puppet compromised her sanity, including creating totem animal skulls to combat dark magic. “He made it from props and items they had that day,” she said. “This hat has all these carvings on it – it was his idea. Agatha throughout is Peters’ latest foray into the Marvel world, having also appeared in the final three installments of the X-Men film franchise. The Golden Globe-winning actor best known for playing serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in Dahmer – Monster: The story of Jeffery Dahmeralso appeared in Deadpool 2. He is currently working on the FX original series, beautybased on the title of the same name from Image Comics, and is next expected to appear on screen in Tron: Ares.
Agatha has always been a success for the MCU
Since its premiere in September, Agatha throughout became another much-needed hit for Phase Five of the MCU, with an 82% critical rating and an 81% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. The series also features Debra-Jo Rupp, Patti LuPone, Aubrey Plaza and Sasheer Zamata.
Agatha throughout is now available to stream via Disney+. New episodes of the series will debut every Wednesday until the double-episode season finale on October 30.
