Marvel Studios continues to not reveal any concrete plans for Kang, but Kevin Feige has been involved in James Gunn’s Superman and Marvel Vs. DC
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige declined to comment on Kang’s future plans in the MCU, but did share his thoughts on James Gunn’s Superman and the rivalry between Marvel and DC.
Jonathan Majors has received praise for his portrayal of Kang in the MCU, wowing fans and critics alike in Loki and Ant-Man and Wasp: Quantumania. It looks like the time-traveling villain has become the MCU’s new archenemy. However, Majors Kang’s career came to an abrupt end after he was found guilty of assault and harassment against his ex-girlfriend.
The situation was further complicated by the loss of the “winner” variant in the third installment of Ant-Man, which made it clear that Marvel Studios would change direction with the character in the rest of the Multiverse Saga.

In an interview with ScreenRant , Kevin Feige completely dropped the question of whether Kang, played by a new actor, will still be part of Avengers 5 (formerly known as Avengers: The Kang Dynasty). “I’ve done a lot of interviews over the past few days, and you’re the first person to ask,” Feige replied. “I give you credit for asking the question head-on, and credit to myself for trying to dodge it and avoid it altogether.”
With any luck, plans for Feige’s multiverse saga will be revealed tomorrow during the Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

In a separate chat with CinemaBlend, Feige broke his silence about James Gunn’s Superman. It’s no secret that Feige is a huge Superman fan, and he likes what he sees. “I’ve seen the paparazzi photos, as I’m sure everyone has,” he said. “I think it’s great. James is the best.”

Feige will continue the endless “Marvel vs. DC,” suggesting that many viewers probably don’t care which company makes these movies. You just want quality hero content. “I always say yes. Because first of all, I want to see great movies. Second, I want to have great movies in theaters for the public to enjoy,” he explained.
Quality DC content in the MCU
Feige went on to say that DC Studios producing quality content wouldn’t be bad news for Marvel Studios. On the contrary, it benefits a genre that many try to claim is dead from so-called “superhero fatigue.” “More great movies… Twisters is getting better this weekend. I haven’t seen it yet, but I’m looking forward to it. So that’s exciting,” Feige added. “And when it comes to special races, as they say, most people don’t know the difference. Someone said ‘congratulations on the blue beetle’! [Risas] “People don’t know.”
Feige’s refusal to comment on Kang’s future has left many fans speculating about the direction the MCU will take. Meanwhile, his support for Gunn Superman and his optimism about the rivalry between Marvel and DC highlight his desire to see a cinematic landscape filled with high-quality superhero movies. The competition between both franchises benefits not only studios, but also fans who want great stories and cinematic experiences.
