James Gunn is working hard to make his Superman reboot stand out from the rest of the superhero movies.

A new photo from the Superman set has surfaced online, showing a possible connection between Luthorcorp and the US military.

Work on the James Gunn-helmed Superman reboot continues, and a new image from the film’s set has piqued fans’ interest. As you can see, the logo of “LuthorCorp” is engraved on the military vehicles, indicating the connection between them and Lex in this movie.

LuthorCorp and the military?

We’ve already seen what appears to be a makeshift military base, and the clowns have occasionally explored this route. Now the question is, will Lex work with the military or is this version of Luthorcorp more weapon oriented than what we see in the comic pages?

Either way, it looks like the villain is aiming all kinds of weapons at Superman…including, if we’re lucky, a certain power suit (it’s time for Lex to appear on the big screen) and theories.

It is being rumored that Lex will create a clone of Clark, possibly a new version of Bizzaro or Ultraman, and if this is true then Lex will continue to be portrayed as a “mad scientist”. Holt has previously spoken about his preparation for the role. “There’s a part in All-Star Superman where he says the muscles are real and hard work and all that. I took it as a little fuel for the fire.”

The first major reboot was in 1978 with Superman: The Movie, directed by Richard Donner and starring Christopher Reeve. This film established many visual elements associated with the character. In the year In 2006, Bryan Singer attempted to revive the franchise with Superman Returns, with Brandon Routh in the title role. Although the film was a tribute to Donner’s films, it was not as successful as expected, leading to another reboot.

The next attempt came in 2013 with Man of Steel directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill. This issue offered a darker, more modern take on Superman, setting the tone for the DC Extended Universe. Now, with a reboot helmed by James Gunn, Superman is expected to return to his ancient roots, combining modernity with the essence of the character. This new approach aims to reconcile Superman’s Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing in Smallville, Kansas.

These multiple reboots demonstrate Superman’s enduring relevance and appeal, and how each generation seeks to reinterpret his story to suit contemporary audiences.
