The popular manga was first published in 1999 by Masashi Kishimoto, and in it we see the adventures of a young ninja who aspires to become the leader of the village. The manga was adapted into an anime format, and can be seen in an upcoming live-action film currently in development.
Lionsgate has revealed that Destin Daniel Crayton, best known for directing Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and Legend of the Ten Rings, is developing a live-action adaptation of the popular ninja. The filmmaker is responsible for writing and directing the project. Crayton, Jeremy Latcham and Jaune Munford will also produce through their Hisaco company with Avi Arad and Amy Yu of Arad producing.
