Contents of The Illuminator’s Treasure and analysis of discovered cards: legendaries and surprises
Him The Illuminator’s Treasure Includes eight booster packs and helps track damage to characters and locations with six pearl effect dice. With the rotating counter, players will never wonder how far they are from earning a Storybook Star, allowing them to easily track their progress towards victory! A very complete product, the storage boxes are of excellent quality and also themed, which makes the collection very beautiful. Inside, thanks to the dividers, we can organize the cards by ink, by cost or by rarity, depending on organizational tastes.
The dice change in each edition and there are 6 of them. This time they are a beautiful aquamarine colour, shiny and the perfect size to place on top of the cards. The dividers feature Simba, Demona, Robin Hood, Daisy, Megara and Shere Khan in artwork exclusive to this edition and with different ink colors.

Him The Illuminator’s Treasure includes:
- 1 storage box, decorated with an edition-related exterior
- 7 dividers or card dividers featuring exclusive images of various Disney characters
- 8 packs with 12 additional cards
- 6 damage counter dice
- 1 legend point counter, different in each edition.
In this new edition the 8 packs were very varied, at least in our case. Even though I didn’t open any enchanted cards, it was a very satisfying opening, as the collecting component of this game is very high, and the greater the variety, the better. Yet, the luck and magic of Disney have rewarded us with two enchanted cards:
- Shere Khan, the fearsome tiger: A letter with ferocious art, the work of Luis Huerta and this shows us the evil main character of “The Jungle Book”. It’s a letter legendary uninkable cost 6, with evasion and 5 external points, with 4 resistance. Remember that evasion characters can only be challenged by other characters with the evasion skill. He has two legend points and one skill, “on the hunt”very interesting.
His ability allows us, when the character embarks on an adventure, to send an opponent’s damaged character into exile. Additionally, you can put a damage counter on another character of your choice. Despite its high cost, it is a card that, in the mechanics of damage movement, can generate a change in the game. In the Ruby and Emerald colors, there are several cards that benefit from damage counters. But not only in Rubí, but also in Amethyst. So it’s a card that will be played, at least in our deck.

- Cinderella, the dream comes true: One of the most beautiful letters of the edition, written by Brittney Hackett and sapphire ink. A legendary princess with a Hero and Storyborn archetype with a cost of 4 that is uninkable. His strength and endurance are 2 and 3 respectively, with a legend point.
The strength of this princess lies in her skill, “Whatever you want”as it works as an ink and paper drawing accelerator. Her ability allows you at the end of your turn, if you played a princess character this turn, to put a card from your hand into your ink face down and draw a card. A 2×1 that reinforces the heist and speedster archetype with princesses.

- Aladdin, darting through: Whisper from Aladdin and in his iconic version. You couldn’t ask for more. joint work of Elisabetta Melaranci Yes Mario Oscar Gabriele. But before analyzing the card, let’s explain the new “Boost” ability.
“Increase” is a new ability that allows you to strengthen the card’s influence in the game by paying an additional ink cost once per turn. To use this ability, the card must be in play. If the amount of inks you have available allows it, you can do it on the same turn you played the card. Once per turn, you can pay the upgrade cost indicated on the card to place the top card of your deck under the character, thus activating the related text. These are different abilities within the same action, and what this new feature does is make player turns even more dynamic.

Whispers, remember that they are glimmers (versions of Disney characters in the realm of Lorca) in the form of strange ghosts not yet fully formed. Costing 3 and inkable, with 4 points of strength and resistance, it is a rare card that also has the new “boost” ability. In this case, with the “boost 1” skill e Reckless. Reckless is a skill where the character cannot adventure and must challenge every turn if possible.
But the grace of the “boost” ability allows this Aladdin to hit all characters Reckless the magic of turning to generate a legend point. Therefore, whoever has a card under him can not only compulsorily challenge, but can make him not challenge to earn a legend point. Versatility. (The image corresponds to the rare, non-iconic card version.)

Letters from “Gárgoyles” and “The Magic Cauldron”. We love them all.
By opening 8 packs, we were able to access several cards that were more than interesting to incorporate into our decks, but which included cards from the legendary series “Gargole” (from the 90s), made us want to have the complete collection, as happened in previous editions with other characters. From the film “The Magic Cauldron”, “The Horned King” appeared in two versions linked together, with limbs of Dev Maidan Yes Giuliano del Rey.

By focusing on the stone creatures, heroes from another age who come to life at night to protect the city, they become strong. Demona and Broadway They feature an Amethyst card and a Steel card respectively. They represent the two opposing factions, with Demona a villain and Broadway an ally. Watch out for steel ink decks with an ally archetype, with cards like these they will be strengthened.
So far, gargoyles have the handicap of not being able to go into the “ready” state if you have 3 or more cards in your hand (at the start of your turn). It doesn’t seem like a handicap that limits games, on the contrary, it is easily overcome and, above all, because skills count a lot. Demona is a character with “challenger +2”, that is, when she challenges we are talking about a gargoyle with 6 strength and 6 resistance for only 4 inks, being a powerful card of common rarity.
The same thing happens with Broadway, a 5-cost (inkable) steel ink card that has the “bodyguard” ability (it enters tapped and the opponent’s characters, if they want to challenge, must do so if possible to the character with the bodyguard ability) with strength 4 and resistance 6. Two very interesting letters with the arts of Alice Pisoni Yes Brother Jaypi respectively.

In short, the tenth edition of Disney Lorcana, “Whispers in the Well”, is full of surprises, characters, new abilities, very powerful cards and arts full of magic and linked to the lore of the edition. The experience of opening a The Illuminator’s Treasure It is always rewarding, for its quality and quantity. On this occasion we are left with the beauty of the dividers and above all the variety of the open cards. It’s time to prepare for introductions and think about new ways to play decks. May the magic of Disney and Ravensburger never stop.
