
Industry icon and producer THE Defenders streaming series line Jeph Loeb teases a Marvel Cinematic Universe reunion for Netflix’s biggest super team.

In addition to singing the praises of the creative teams behind each series, Loeb teased a potential return for the rest of The defenders following the success of Disney+ Daredevil revival series, Daredevil: Born Againnoting that “there are always more stories to tell.”
Regarding the success of Daredevil: Born Again As for himself, Loeb said, “I’m very happy for all my friends – actors, writers, directors, stunt people, crew and everyone who worked on all these shows and killed them – that they can continue to honor these roles.” I don’t know if anything like this has ever happened – especially on two different networks. Loeb added: “One thing I’d like to clarify – even though it’s an easy shorthand to call them the heroes of ‘Netflix’ – the plain truth is that Netflix was our network. They aired the shows that Marvel Television then created, produced, wrote, cast, shot, edited, composed, etc. – hours and hours of some of the most brilliant people who worked on those shows for Marvel TV. “
Netflix’s lineup of Marvel TV series began with 2015’s. Daredevilwhich introduced Charlie Cox’s iteration of the iconic Marvel Comics superhero. That same year, Jessica Jones starring Krysten Ritter premiered on Netflix, marking the debut of one of the biggest television crossovers to date. The first two series were followed by the premieres of Luc Cage with Mike Colter and iron fist with Finn Jones in 2016 and 2017, respectively. The overall narrative tying these shows together effectively concluded with the release of The defenders in 2017, with The Punisher with Jon Bernthal arriving a few months later as the final Marvel TV show produced for Netflix.
Daredevil: Born Again is already ready for another meeting of Netflix defenders
With the upcoming premiere of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 in March, Netflix fans The defenders can expect another star of the series to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe alongside Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, specifically Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones. Although Ritter’s return marks the third star of a Netflix/Marvel TV series to make its way into the MCU proper after Cox’s Matt Murdock and Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle, she may not be the last to do so. Luke Cage star Mike Colter has said that while he’s “not thinking about it anymore,” he’s still open to the idea of returning to the role of Luke Cage. “I think there’s always time. I don’t think it’s impossible. Anything can happen,” Colter added.
