The planned beginnings of Marvel Cinematic Universe did not take place as an actor thought. The MCUs Captain America: Brave New World, Who struck the rooms in February 2025 and played Anthony Mackie as a titular hero, apparently had his right part of bad guys with a notable exception.
Rosa Salazar, known for her main role in James Cameron Alita: Battle Angel (2019), had been thrown to play Rachel Leighton, also known as Diamondback, in Captain America: Brave New World. While Salazar filmed scenes for the film, she was finally cut off from the last theatrical outing. Salazar shared his feelings after being withdrawn from the MCU suite in an interview with Collider. The version of Salazar of Diamondback had to share scenes with Klaus Voorhees / King Cobra of Seth Rollins, but Rollins, who played another member of the Snake company, also ended up being abandoned from the final cup.
When asked what it was like being cut Brave new world, Salazar started: “Oh, it’s so interesting, right?” She then also developed the question. “Well, from my, I mean, I’m just a pistol hired in this situation,” said Salazar.

She begins like an antagonist against Captain America, but then finished seeing feelings for the hero. Finally, in the comics, Diamondback helps Captain America to eliminate Serpent society, and in particular, Viper, then becomes a member of Shield
Salazar understood the decision as a filmmaker
Salazar then thought about his own experience of making a film – the 2017 short film, Good crazy. “I mean, I remember … It’s a little, very small thing, compared to that, but when I made my short film, I based it around this only scene that I thought I was hilarious, and that didn’t do it, you know. We had something else, so I think it’s just. We wanted to be something else,” said Salazar.
In the end, Captain America de Mackie would face several bad guys Brave new world, Including Sidewinder, played by Giancarlo Esposito, an Isaiah Bradley, controlled by the spirit, played by Carl Lumbly, the leader / Samuel Sterns, played by Tim Blake Nelson and, of course, Red Hulk, played by Harrison Ford.
Things may not have presented themselves for the beginnings of Salazar to McU, but she always hopes that there will be a sequel to Alita: Battle Angel.
