10 Better Batman villains who could be heroes if they wanted

Batman has one of the biggest fictional galleries in thugs. Gotham City is a reproductive ground for the vilest criminals in the DC universe, but he also generated the family of bats under the direction of Dark Knight. On rare occasions, Batman even had to team up with his bad guys, which raises the question: could these bad guys become heroes if they wanted it?

When Batman and his bad guys have a common enemy, they actually make fairly effective partners. When there is no Robins, no Nightwing or Batgirl, Batman has teamed up with Two-Face, invited Clayface to the battle family and even fought alongside the Joker to defeat the Batman who laughs during the dark nights: metal. Even Batman’s worst enemies, with good motivation and good advice, could be powerful teammates.

Killer Croc joined the Bat family in Batman: Earth One

In the Prime DC universe, Killer Croc is one of Batman’s most vicious bad guys. Many fans remember Killer Croc of Arkham video games, an obstacle monster that pursues Batman through the sewers of Arkham Asylum.

In Batman: Earth One Volume 2Geoff Johns reinvented Killer Croc as a sympathetic character who just wanted to hide from Gotham residents because of his appearance. This version of Killer Croc helped Batman find and defeat the Riddler, while joining the Battes family in the third volume of the One. Croc could use these claws and fangs in the battle of bats.

Poison Ivy frequently associated himself with Harley Quinn (and assisted Batman by extension)

When Poison Ivy made her debut, she was a bad guy who used pheromones to manipulate Batman and Robin. It was its status quo for several decades, and the version of which many fans remember, as it has been adapted in Batman: the animated series and the Batman and Robin Live film.

In the years which followed, partly thanks to his growing romance with Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy has often fought alongside Batman and the Battes family. More and more, Ivy abandons his nasty ways of helping the world. She helped defeat Scarecrow in “Fear State”, and she healed Gotham by sacrificing herself Batman: Arkham Knight.

Clayface joined the Baus-Souris family during the DC Renaissance

Clayface is an extremely misunderstood villain, and many fans are probably about to learn that in the film DCU Clayface which will be released for the release next year. Clayface was a distorted actor, now capable of being formed. For years in DC Comics, Clayface has used this ability to commit crimes and deceive others.

Almost every version of Clayface is a villain, but Batman has managed to recruit the enemy in the DC Renaissance era. When the new volume of Detective comics Launched in 2016, Clayface was standing in the shoulder with Batman and the rest of the battle family, and has largely remained an ally of Batman since.

Bane could help Batman instead of breaking the bat

Bane is famous for having broken Batman’s back and launched the “Knightfall” era of DC Comics. Since then, Bane has been one of Batman’s greatest enemies, taking advantage of the absence of justice League during Matable foreverThen take control of Gotham and team up with the FlashPoint Batman in “City of Bane”.

Bane is a great mercenary, authorized by his venom serum. However, Bane and Batman would have an excellent team if they could work together. They have, on very rare occasions, as in Bane revenge And “No Man’s Land”, usually to fight an even greater threat.

Two-Face & Batman has teamed up during All-Star Batman

Two-Face is a Batman villain who is apparently always at a step of redemption. Before the accident made his face mark, Harvey Dent was a district prosecutor of Gotham City who believed in justice. Even as two facets, Harvey’s shreds seem to make their way on the surface.

In several iterations of the character, Harvey brought clues so that Batman stops his alter-ego with two facets. During All-Star BatmanBatman and Two-Face were forced to work together when Harvey’s personality took control, looking for a “healing” in two-face. If Harvey and Bruce could focus on their past friendship, then Two-Face could well be influenced to become a force for good in the future.

Deathstroke is the biggest DC assassin that could use his skills for good

Deathstroke is definitely the greatest assassin in DC, but he is also a complex character with relationships that could influence him to become more a villain or join the heroes, like his relationship with his daughter or the respect he holds for Dick Grayson. During a large part of Deathstroke’s comic career, he was a large antagonist of Titans teenagers, frequently fighting Batman.

More and more Batman’s bad guys turn away from their nasty roads. Harley Quinn no longer fights for the Joker, Poison Ivy has saved Gotham several times and Clayface joined the family of batteries. It would be so cool to see Slade using your skills for good, teaming up with Batman or Nightwing and full -time titans.

Lock-up is a brutal vigilante who should follow the example of Batman

Lock-up made its debut Batman: the animated series. He was originally a security guard at Arkham Asylum, but he terrified bad guys like the Joker and Scarecrow more than Batman. The locking was actually brutalized criminals and went so far as to try to kill them.

Now Lock-up has very little buy-back qualities, if necessary, but he could have been an ally of Batman in another universe. Lock-up has a certain sense of justice, although he took things too far and was willing to cross a line that Batman would not do. In another universe, where Lock-up held similar constraints, he could have joined the bat family or work with The Dark Knight like any other vigilante.

Ra’s Al Ghul could use his assassins league to help Gotham City without destroying it

Ra’s Al Ghul is a complex character and one of the best in the Batman universe. Ra’s Al Ghul has lived for centuries, thanks to his Lazarus pits, Amount an Empire and leading the Assassins League. RA often wants to take drastic measures to “save” the world, which generally involves a lot of bad before being able to do good.

Ra’s often helps Batman, even teaming up with him as long as their missions take advantage of them. If Ra and Batman could find common motivations (and common methods to save the world), they would be an unstoppable force. Talia herself tried to fill this gap, but this chasm between Batman and RA is simply too big.

Catwoman is one of the closest allies of Batman … when she wants to be

Catwoman made his debut Batman # 1 As thief on the theme of the cat, and for most of his comic book career, she was a nasty Batman. However, the last decades have transformed it into anti-heroes. She even almost joined the bat family and the Wayne family when they almost married Bruce Wayne.

Catwoman joined the battle of bats Batman: Earth OneShe joined Batman’s insurgency in the Injustice Universe, and she was Batman’s best teammate during the DC rebirth era. As long as it takes advantage and as long as the people she loves are safe, she will associate with The Dark Knight.

The Joker has actually associated with Batman (on very, very rare occasions)

This one is a little exaggerated, but not impossible. Yes, the Joker is the worst thing that happens to Gotham City. Yes, he is one of Batman’s greatest bad guys who has caused irreparable damage to the bat family, often leading Batman or Red Hood to murderous revenge. However, the joker has, on rare occasions, teams up with The Dark Knight.

During Dark nights: metalBatman and the Joker defeated the laughing Batman. In the Last knight on earth Alternative universe, the Joker idolized Batman and has in fact become his robotic Robin. In a twisted way, the Joker loves Batman. If the black knight could influence the joker to fight by his side, instead of destroying the family of bats, he would have his strongest ally.
