Amazon condemns intimidating toxic fans in the summer of which I became a pretty stars

Amazon speaks again about the online intimidation that some of its stars receive. Casting The summer when I became pretty have been the target of hate messages in recent weeks as new episodes of the Romantic Drama Air On Prime Video.

The summer when I became prettyThe official account X (formerly Twitter) published a firm message on the recent behavior of the community. “The show is not real but the people who play the characters are”, the post bed with a attached video which says “the summer that we started to act normal online”. The post was a timely reminder before season 3, episode 8 – entitled “Last Kiss”, which was broadcast on August 27.

The triangle in love with the show and the intense intrigue are probably one of the motor forces behind the quarrel and the intimidation of the fans. Several members of the distribution were the target of hatred messages. Gavin Casalegno, who plays Jeremiah Fisher, would have even received death threats.

The new season of the series sees Jeremiah and his brother, Conrad (Christopher Briney), both in love with their friend Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung). While Jeremiah and Belly’s relationship warms up, the love triangle becomes even more complicated – and fans can take the show a little too seriously when they find themselves in the drama.

However, the battle between Fans of Conrad and Jeremiah is not the only reason for certain intense online messages. Casalegno was on receipt of the fans exam after committing to conservative publications on social networks.

Prime Video previously reminded fans their community guidelines, which have a “zero tolerance policy” for hatred speeches, intimidation, targeting of distribution or team, or harassment of community members. It was a complaint of a fan in the comments of the last post of the show.

“Respectfully, you have guidelines in place but do not apply them,” they wrote. “Actions speak more than words, but I am sure that this message devoid of meaning will make Lola feels so much better from death threats that she has received.”

While The summer when I became prettyThe main distribution was all on the reception of online intimidation, Casalegno recently talked about the hatred that his character receives. “I think it is important to understand and realize that it is a fictitious story – and it is not me either,” said the actor.

He also talked about Amazon working to try to slow down some of the fans, but admitted that it had not been completely successful. “I don’t think there is a single human being in the world that can bring emotional negativity to the extent that things like this happen. And I think that is why Amazon has done a good job to intervene and be like” hey, no intimidation. “However, don’t really well.”

New episodes of The summer when I became pretty Air Wednesdays on Prime Video, with the final of the season scheduled for September 17, 2025.
