The new animated series of the Black Panther universe, Eyes of Wakand

The cultural heart of the universe of the black panther
It all starts in 1260 BC, with NOTA warrior of Milage Dora who has been dishonored and who, as punishment (or redemption?), must undertake an impossible mission: Recovered the stolen products Wakanda This could endanger their civilization. But the story is not limited to this episode. According to the showrunner Todd Harris, each chapter of the Four that make up this season It will explore a different moment from history.
“This is a story of spy with historical flavor”, Todd Harris explains, who worked on projects like John Wick y Avengers: endgame. Although the approach is different, the tension remains the same: What does it mean to protect something at all costs?
The series, which Harris defines as “adjacent anthology”, is directly inspired by a key question: What kind of culture creates a black panther? And to answer, the team has created a narrative that travels over time to show us how the Wakandian people has preserved their secrets for more than 10,000 years. From the Bronze Age to modern conflictsWe will see several Wakandian agents act as authentic sentinels of their nation. By the way, yes: there will be Temporary travellost artifacts and, of course, Unexpected cameo MCU.
Beyond vibranium
One of the jewels of the project is your artistic direction. Harris and his team tried to capture a “pictorial” aesthetic, with inspiration in artists such as Dean Cornwell y Ernie Barneswhich provides that classic air structured to animation.

“Wakanda was the longer African than the rest of Africa”, Harris underlines, explaining how architecture and costumes have designed principles such as fractals, which are common in traditional art of the continent. In addition, every tribe or culture represented has its own way of fighting, moving and speaking, reflecting respect for Diversity within Wakanda itself.
A series with deep roots and open connections
While Wakanda’s eyes it is designed to hold alone, It is not isolated from the rest of the MCU. Harris confirmed that there will be at least one aspect of Iron fist… but not what everyone expects. And it is not excluded that other classic characters may appear in alternative versions, adapted to different historical periods.
Each episode will have new characters, places not published in the country and unknown visions of its internal policy. One of the main objectives is to question, as Killmonger has already done in the original film, if Wakanda always behaves fairly or if their silence and isolation also have a moral price.
The protagonist that no one expected but we all needed
Played by Winnie HarlowNoni is not a superhero to use. He is a former guerrilla who has to face his past while traveling to the world (and history) recovering what others have stolen. And according to Harris, this emotional complexity will be the key: “They don’t live a false, but emotionally true life”, He commented when he refers to the dilemmas of the Wakandian agents.

The series also has the items of Cress Williams, Lynn Whitfield, Steve Toussaint, Isaac Robinson-Smith y ANIKA NOTI ROSEforming a luxury cast that brings depth to each of the explored cultures.
